Longines Conquest Quartz is a unisex timepiece, designed to fashion both men and women. Such a decisive timepiece would obviously quench the vogue thirst of all, whether they favor black lacquered shade or milk-white. L33804766 Longines Conquest Quartz has all the features and protection of L33804586 Longines with the exception of the milk white shade of the dial base. This minute change alters the entire perception and aura of the timepiece. With the addition of screw in crown and screw down case back, this case as well remains severely protected with scratch resistant sapphire crystal and anti-reflective coating.

Steve McQueen's vintage Heuer Monaco just sold for $799,500 - Monochrome Watches
Yes indeed, like the title says: Steve’s McQueen’s vintage Heuer Monaco was recently auctioned for $ 799.500 USD! An amount that might sound insane for some, others will think a price like this is more then justified. It just depends on how you look at it.Three years ago another vintage Heuer Monaco and a 5512, both owned McQueen, were sold for €?63.000 Euro (Heuer Monaco) and the 5512 sold for no less then € 167.000 Euro! Priced that cannot be justified by how rare these timepieces are, but mainly by the person who wore them. But with (possibly) 6 identified Heuer Monaco’s all owned by McQueen, is this price still sane? Introducing: The Longines Ultra-Chron Carbon, A First For the Brand
Everyone is familiar with Zenith's high-frequency El Primero automatic chronograph movement, released in 1969. However, not everybody is familiar with the world's first high-frequency diver. The laurels, in this case, go to Longines with its 1968 Ultra-Chron ref. 7970 with a 5Hz frequency and a depth rating of 200m. Reintroduced in 2022, the Ultra-Chron returns in 2025 in a carbon fibre case.No stranger to high-frequency calibres, in 1914, Longines produced a 5Hz handheld stopwatch with a split-seconds hand capable of measuring 1/10th of a second. In 1916, it unveiled its 50Hz, 1/100th of a second stopwatch. Ten years before Zenith's El Primero, Longines produced the first wristwatch with a 5Hz movement (calibre 360) to compete in observatory chronometry competitions (it was manual winding). In 1968, Longines introduced its 5Hz calibre 431 inside a diver's watch, converting the Ultra-Chron into the world's first high-frequency diver with an accuracy of one minute per month. If you'd li
Introducing: Swatch x Blancpain Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms
We knew it was coming… Not only Swatch’s latest collaboration with a higher-end watchmaker from the Swatch Group was teased by the brand, but we even created our own vision of what these Swatch x Blancpain models could have been. And looking at the new Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms, we were not too far away from reality. Following the Moonswatch and its success, it’s time now for another Swatched-out emblematic watch, but here, there is some good news on the side of the functionalities and mechanics.?The Swatch x Blancpain Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms next to the inspiration, the classic Blancpain Fifty FathomsDubbed the Swatch x Blancpain Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms, what we’re looking at here is basically a Swatch take on what is one of the earliest and most respected dive watches, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. Born in 1953, this legendary watch has celebrated its 70th anniversary this year with several commemorative models. It isn’t such a surprise
Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar 5740G (Specs & Price)
When Baselworld 2018 opened its?doors, this new watch came as a surprise. We could have expected this grand complication to coincide with the 40th anniversary of this iconic model – which took place two years ago, with the presentation of the?Platinum 3-hand 5711/1P and the White Gold Chronograph 5976/1G. Instead, Patek decided to wait two more years to introduce the first grand complication in the Nautilus collection. After the chronograph, the annual calendar or the travel time, here is the?Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar 5740G.Background – The addition of complications to the NautilusIn our books, here at MONOCHROME, the true essence of the Nautilus is a time-only watch, with a predominant focus on the style, the design, and its unique combination of refined luxury and sportiness. The Nautilus was born with two hands and a date (with the Ref. 3700, designed in 1976 by the late Gerald Genta) and still, the most coveted model in the collection is its direct desc
Introducing The New Ulysse Nardin Freak One (Live Pics & Price)
The Freak, the brainchild of the late Ulysse Nardin owner Rolf Schnyder and genius watchmaker Ludwig Oechslin, has been with us for 22 years. The first Freak was packed with innovative ideas that would transform the conservative ways of watchmaking, changing perceptions. Since 2001 the watch with no crown to wind and time set, no conventional hands to point hours and minutes and no dial per common designation have appeared in several variants, yet looking at the timeline, many would agree that the new 2023 edition, the Freak ONE, could be the prettiest. The new Ulysse Nardin Freak ONE celebrates the previous, with many features popping up with just a glance. Still, it is a tribute to the first Ulysse Nardin Freak, highlighting the avant-garde design and technology of one of the most forward-thinking creations of this century so far.
