The Longines L37294966 is a Swiss-made timepiece. The silvery blue timepiece has enough mystery to keep the wearer the center of attention but not so much so to overtake the environment. The enthralling and glamorous dial contrasts beautifully with a slightly darker shaded blue. The dial, itself, houses silver bars and Arabic numerals and hour markers, on top of a small window at 3 o' clock to help track date of the month. The charming wristwatch remains waterproof at 50m so the wearer can be carefree in case of any unpredicted moisture or water onslaught.

A Journey to Red Bull Racing and through the racing heart of TAG Heuer - Monochrome Watches
Saturday means another kind of mechanics here, at MONOCHROME. As every week, we share with you our second passion: cars (like real cars, those that smell and make some noise). For this week's Petrolhead Corner installment we visited Red Bull Racing in Milton Keynes to have a chat about the bond between TAG Heuer and Red Bull. The relation between TAG and motorsports isn’t anything new; it was initiated long time ago by Mr. Jack Heuer himsel. In Milton Keynes we found out why relative newbie, Red Bull Racing, was the right partner to build the strongest collaboration on the grid. It's not necessarily the story marketing departments would like to hear, but it's fascinating to see just how spontaneously Jack Heuer’s involvement in car racing got started – and how naturally it has evolved. In his autobiography, TAG Heuer honorary chairman Jack Heuer describes going to the Monte Carlo rally in 1958. At the finish line, he writes, we studied every car arriving to see what ti
Tudor and its Heritage - How the Vintage Submariners inspired the Tudor Black Bay - Monochrome Watches
In terms of product design, vintage inspiration has been, for the last 10 years, one of the major, if not the major trend. Most brands, from low-end to ultra-luxury?have been, at least once, looking at their past and used it as a reference to?create new models. We all need strong foundations to feel confident, and this must be a part of the explanation. However, as always, some handled this vintage style with success, some didn’t. In the middle of this crowd, one brand must be regarded with great care: Tudor. With their?Heritage line, they clearly played on this trend and achieved probably better than most around. To every success there’s an explanation, and here, it must the combination of vintage elements into a modern package, and not just a copy-paste of the past. Today, we start a series about Tudor and its Heritage and we’ll look at how the?Vintage Submariners inspired the Tudor Black Bay (and inspired only…)When Tudor has been?relaunched at the end of the
Reservoir Watches Retrograde/Jumping Display - Hands-On (Specs & Price)
There are some new kids on the block and they go by the name of Reservoir, and they happened to be one of the coolest finds at Baselword 2017. Further to their pre-launch presentation earlier this year, the brand’s first collections are now on the market. Their timepieces provide their own cool, off-beat take on watchmaking, inspired by their fascination for all things mechanical, and a nostalgia for the heyday of car culture and old measurement instruments: speedometers, tachometers, fuel, oil, temp, volt gauges, you name it!If you think that most of the cars nowadays are divested of personality? That the cool, powerful, sensual designs of the past have given up far too much of their character in the pursuit of practicality and safety? Well, if you do feel nostalgic about the golden age of car culture -iconic sports cars, racing gloves, oil gauges, the adrenaline of car racing- Reservoir might be worth a closer look. Alexandre Meerson Altitude Premiere & Altitude Officier - Review with live photos & price - Monochrome-Watches
A few months ago, we introduced to you a new luxury brand with a simple but highly enjoyable design and an interesting horological content: Alexandre Meerson. By only looking at the press photos and reading the press release, we found that both the story was highly captivating and that the timepieces were not denied of elegance. However, nothing?is better than?a try and all the photos, as good as they can be, will never replace the experience of having the watch strapped on the wrist. That’s why we get our hands on all the collection: the?Alexandre Meerson Altitude Premiere & Altitude Officier. The two collections –?Altitude Premiere & Altitude Officier – share several similarities, among which is the design of the case. It is composed of a totally round central part and of two lug modules, with an Art-Deco twist, that hold the strap. The integration of such modules in a modern watch is not that common and, most of the time, the previous attempts led to an obso
