Luxury Watches |
This Longines Conquest watch has a classy and sophisticated vibe with a midnight blue dial. The stainless steel bracelet has a smooth finish, which extends back to its case. The white hour markers and hands present a stark contrast to the lovely blue of the dial. Moreover, it has a scratch-resistant crystal that can deal with a water pressure of 30 bars. It has high wear resistance, too, so it can be a nice addition to any watch lover's collection.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver Khaki - Hands-On, Price
You are all familiar with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Diver, a piece that has been in the ROO collection since 2010 designed for action men who want a robust companion for their extreme sports/lifestyle. What was once considered a big bad boy watch back in 1993 has now settled down and even its dimensions have become the accepted norm for sports watches. Today we'll be looking at the khaki Royal Oak Offshore Diver unveiled along with three other models in 2018.The Genesis of the Royal Oak OffshoreIt's hard to be the descendant of a living legend. The original idea was to launch the watch in 1992 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak. Without revisiting the mu

The Collector's Series - Watch journalist Tomasz Kieltyka and his Panerai Luminor Base 8 Days PAM00560 - Monochrome-Watches
It's been three months since we started our voyage to circle the globe in search of collectors and their stories. Amazingly it is only until this week that we came across a Panerai owner. It was in Poland when we met Tomasz Kie?tyka, the founder and other half of Chronos24.pl (we first met with Luckasz and his Tudor Heritage Chrono). He's a watch insider and a fine collector – and here is the story of his Panerai Luminor Base 8 Days PAM00560 and his journey through watches.Tomasz was born the same year as Some Girls album by The Rolling Stones. He was destined to be an electrical engineer, but life had other plans. Following a period at a creative advertising agency, he then founded Chronos24.pl. He started the website as a means of expressing his passion for watchmaking rather than a purely commercial proposition. I believe it was the idea that by building a successful platform from which he could discuss his passion, that it would free up his spare time and allow him to find pi
Introducing: The Gubelin Ipsomatic, Designed by Architect Santiago Calatrava
If you’re into watches, then the name Gubelin should sound familiar –? you’ll probably first think about double-signed vintage Patek Philippe watches, once retailed by this house. Today, Gubelin returns to making watches under its own name, bringing back a historical name – the Ipsomatic – with a watch that’s been designed by world-famous architect Santiago Calatrava and powered by vintage automatic movements. A fine watch with expressive design, let’s discover it.?A vintage, circa 1950s Gubelin Ipso Matic watch – image by thisiswatchable.comGubelin was created in 1854 and has been one of the most respected Swiss watch retailers ever since. Introducing The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Moon Phase Retrograde Date (Live Pics)
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection debuted in 1996 but was viewed by many as a successor to Vacheron’s 222 models, designed by Jorg Hysek (that wasn’t Genta)?and presented in 1977. The collection, updated in 2016, is built around the popular concept of a sports luxury watch, with various editions of the casually elegant Overseas always in high demand. Vacheron successfully blended high watchmaking into the sporty-chic Overseas line, offering several complications, including a tourbillon, perpetual calendar ultra-thin, chronograph and dual time models. The Maison adds a reference with a moon-phase display and a retrograde date this year. The retrograde indication is a feature found in the Patrimony collection, but until now, it was not part of the Overseas offering. It is worth mentioning that the unusual display made its way into Vacheron Constantin’s assortment in the 1990s, first with the Metiers d’Art collection Mercator models with a double retrograd
