This automatic watch has an appealing look that will attract you like a magnet. This Longines watch, belonging to the array of the Heritage collection, has an intense black lacquered dial that involves luminous hands and time markings extending to the black PVD bezel too. The strap matches with the dial and boasts matte black rubber material. The screw-in crown follows one-directional rotation, and the sapphire glass carries rich anti-resistant coating. The power reserve of 64 hours is totally unequaled.

@watchonthewrist and his Vianney Halter Classic (with salmon-coloured dial) - Monochrome Watches
Restarting The Collector’s Series was already in the planning for quite some time. Not easy with our small team, especially since part of the team is on the road a lot, so the current situation proved to be the right moment to reach out to some friends and ask them to participate. The reason why I wanted to do this series is not just to show some remarkable watches but mainly to hear from the owner why he or she wanted to buy that particular watch. The story on “why”, is to me one of the most interesting stories. Today we’re talking with @watchonthewrist about his stunning Vianney Halter Classic with a salmon-colour dial.?We do not cover Vianney Halter a lot over here at MONOCHROME, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like his watches. We do! In fact, the watches mentioned by @watchonthewrist are also on my wish list! Vianney Halter is an artisanal watchmaker with his very own style, a recognizable and strong design, and someone who works at his own pace.
First Look: Longines Enlarges the Conquest 38mm and 41mm Range with Colours and Rubber Straps
First introduced in 1954 (and the first to be trademarked over 70 years ago), the Conquest collection is among the longest lived of the brand with the winged hourglass logo. In recent years, the name Conquest (without a suffix, since there’s also the Conquest Heritage and the HydroConquest) has become synonymous with modern versatility. This became even truer in 2023 when Longines revamped the collection entirely, making it its most versatile offering. Following the first expansion of the range in 2024, Longines enriches the Conquest line even more this year, adding new colours and rubber straps to the 38mm and 41mm models.Positioned somewhere between elegant and sporty, the current Longines Conquest collection is in line with current trends. A daily oriented watch, which can be worn either at the office (if casual is your dress code) or during the weekend for a bit of action, the Conquest can do it all without much trouble. Classic, well finished, well equipped and reasonably pr
Hands-on: The Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date B 1.618
After a career in financial technology, the Festa-Bianchet couple embarked on a new entrepreneurial project driven by their passion and desire to create their own watches. As evident from their inaugural timepiece, the B 1.618 Openwork, they have specialized in crafting ultra-modern tourbillons, with the number 1.618 serving as a reference to the golden ratio, a pivotal element influencing their designs. Their second creation, the Flying Tourbillon Grande Date B 1.618, adheres to the same design language but represents an evolutionary step. A visit to the brand's new premises and atelier in La Chaux-de-Fonds provided the opportunity to get our hands on this sports tourbillon, boasting an impressive 5000-G shock resistance. As mentioned, the Bianchet Flying Tourbillon Grande Date B 1.618 retains the design language of its predecessor, featuring a tonneau-shaped case and a modern, openworked tourbillon movement. However, it also introduces some noteworthy evolutions. Overall, it exudes a
On the Road to Baselworld 2015 - Monochrome-Watches
Here we are, the day before?the official opening of the most important week of the watchmaking industry, Baselworld. Two month ago was already an important moment, the SIHH. Oris Carl Brashear Chronograph Limited Edition Bronze - Hands-On Baselworld 2018 (Specs & Price)
One of the coolest bronze dive watches just received a new sibling, perhaps an even cooler bronze diving chronograph. For 2018 Oris introduces a new Limited Edition based on the original Carl Brashear commemorative watch from two years ago, and now adds a chronograph to the mix. We've already given you a short rundown of the watch, but now we had time to go hands-on with the Oris Carl Brashear Chronograph Limited Edition Bronze during Baselworld 2018.The initial Carl Brashear Limited Edition Bronze was an instant hit, pleasing Oris collectors worldwide – and naturally, it went sold-out quickly. Technically, there is nothing revolutionary about this new version, but it is the first time Oris has gone for a chronograph movement, a Sellita clone of the bulletproof Valjoux 7750, in the Divers Sixty-Five collection. And to be honest, it is a very welcome addition, broadening the range of the collection further and further. Like we mentioned in the previous artic
