Ophion OPH 786 Watch With New Movement, New Guilloche Dials & Affordable Prices
The story of the brand Ophion shouldn’t be new to you, in case you’re a frequent reader of Monochrome. Indeed, we introduced it to you, and we even gave away one of their first watches, the OPH 960. However, don’t be fooled by the youngness of the brand, as less than 2 years after their first iteration, a new watch is coming – and we have it for you here, quite exclusively.?Here is the Ophion OPH 786. It’s cool, it’s superbly done, the content is simply impressive for the price, there’s a new movement… Everything to fall in love.Throwback to Ophion’s storyWhat is Ophion? Well, it is?part of these multiple watch brands that create these days. However, no Kickstarter here, no Miyota movement, no crazy design. Instead, there’s a passion. When he started the brand, Miguel had a simple idea: bringing a bit of the haute horlogerie taste in an affordable, yet elegant watch, with nice execution and a different movement (no ETA, no Sei
Weekly Watch Photo - IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar - Monochrome Watches
The subject of this week’s Weekly Watch Photo has a very long name, IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar. It was released in January of this year at the SIHH 2012, as part of an entirely revamped Pilot’s collection and it is among the first of this collection to feature IWC’s in-house caliber 89365.?Like last week’s Weekly Watch Photo, the Roger Dubuis Pulsion Skeleton Tourbillon, I had the distinct pleasure of wearing the IWC Pilot Chrono Miramar for several weeks, again with the purpose of writing a review. The review will be online in the following weeks, however I’d love to share some photos of this stunning watch and let’s start with the engraved case back. Ad - Scroll to continue with article Top Gun… these two words reminds me of the hit-movie featuring Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis, rather then it
Hands-On: The Fairly-Priced Patria Brigadier Tourbillon Subscription
The roots of Patria go as far back as 1892 as the name was registered by Louis Brandt et Fils. Therefore, the same founding family as Omega The brand was resurrected in 2019 by a British watch designer, Jolyon Lambert, and his co-founder, Adam Stansfield, as they found inspiration in a century-old trench watch. For its second model, the duo once again pays tribute to the brand's military heritage with a classic tourbillon watch aptly named Brigadier Tourbillon. Released as a subscription edition, this 39.5mm steel timepiece brings together a hand-finished, Swiss-made tourbillon movement and an enamel dial And the price is quite surprising, in a good way.?The World War II era usually comes to mind when thinking of vintage-inspired military watches. Yet, World World I played a pivotal role in the advent of the wrist-worn watch. As pocket watches proved unpractical in the field, military personnel transformed them to be worn on the wrist – the so-called trench watches – before
Introducing The Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Chronograph 5924G
Following the turbulence generated by Patek Philippe's Calatrava Pilot Travel Time Ref. 5524 of 2015 with its vintage pilot's watch flair, the model has settled down as a stable member of the Calatrava family. For 2023, Patek Philippe is introducing another version of its Calatrava Pilot Travel Time, combining its dual time functionality with a flyback chronograph. Two references in white gold with contemporary coloured dials and enhanced functionality wing their way into the more vintage section of the Calatrava collection. In just eight years, the Calatrava Pilot Travel Time has gone from being a misunderstood and controversial watch to becoming a highly desirable collectable. Relying on Patek's signature Travel Time indication, the first models featured a second time zone or GMT indication with two hour hands, a practical day/night indicator and a date on a sub-dial at 6 o'clock. Appearing in a smaller 37.5mm for women in 2018, the Travel Time took on board an alarm mechanism coupled

We even demonstrate you the customization possibilities that Armin Strom offer to its clients?on this watch. While running through?the QP 2015?walkways, we had to make a stop at the Armin Strom booth and here is the latest edition of the?Armin Strom Skeleton Pure we’ve been showed that now comes in white gold with a new movement adornment.Something we already told you when handling some of the creations of Armin Strom is their capacity to fully expose their movements, where all the technical parts appear through the opened bridges and plates.
