Luxury Watches |
Longines has some of the sturdiest watches, and this Record 38.5mm is one of these. The midnight blue dial looks exquisite encased in a steel frame. The white date window and the simple silver bezel compliment the blue dial. The silver numerals and lined markers give it a certain measure of sophistication. Its black leather band has a textured pattern which the watch collectors love. The scratch-resistant sapphire crystal ensures a long and reliable use too.

Collector's Series - @herindependentstyle and Her Schwarz Etienne Fiji Floral Seconds
The passion for watches is something that needs to be shared, and this is what we try to do with this column. While we often discuss watches with men in the Collector's Series, there are also some women who have an utter passion for watchmaking. And today, we have both a story of transmitting the passion from a husband to his wife, who now also collects watches from indie watchmakers. @herindependentstyle is a 47-year-old watch aficionado from Utrecht, the Netherlands, with a passion for independent brands. Her watch, a Schwarz Etienne Fiji Floral Seconds in steel, is not a dime a dozen. The Dutch watch lover explains why this watch made her heart skip a beat.Frank Geelen, MONOCHROME – The watch you are wearing is not a household name. How did you get to know this brand? Salon Exceptional Watches 2019, this Weekend in Prague - Monochrome Watches
While the watch industry ticks in time to two massive watch fairs, Baselworld and SIHH, these two events are mostly meant for brands to present their novelties to a public of professionals – retailers and journalists. However, some local events around the globe allow watch collectors and enthusiasts to discover the collections – think SIAR, Dubai WW, Salon QP. Happening this weekend (October 19-20) is the largest watch exhibition in central and eastern Europe. It is named Salon Exceptional Watches 2019, it gathers 44 brands and it takes place in the beautiful city of Prague, Czech Republic. Salon Exceptional Watches 2019, previously taking place in Brno, now in Prague, will be the 6th edition of this event, held in the beautiful premises of the ?of¨ªn Palace, a historic venue in the centre of Prague, close to the National theatre. This event is now central and eastern Europe’s largest watch exhibition, with no fewer than 44 br
Kickstarter elegantsis JSK Series - Monochrome Watches
The first thing Taiwanese watchmaker elegantsis (the name is intentionally un-capitalized) wants you to know about the new JSK Series is that it is a joint project with US-based JSK Moto, a custom motorcycle design company. JSK makes some outlandishly cool custom motorcycles, so it's no wonder why elegantsis chose them as inspiration for these high-octane statement pieces. Currently on Kickstarter (as we already told in a previous article), the JSK series boasts of craftsmanship, strength, and style. Indeed, this line of watches features some interesting design features and impressive mechanicals. Three collections of JSK Series watches are advertised on the Kickstarter page (in descending order): Rarity, Classic, and Basic.DialI appreciate how, even with the intense design theme, elegantsis didn't try to reinvent the wheel with the dial layout. We have the traditional three hands, a date display, and some basic text at the 9 o'clock position. The sapphire crystal has an anti-reflectiv
Introducing: The Tudor Black Bay 58 GMT
The model Tudor fans have been clamouring for finally materialises with the release of the Black Bay 58 GMT. Although the Black Bay collection is no stranger to dual time zone models – the first Tudor Black Bay GMT was introduced in 2018 – this is the first time the more compact 39mm Black Bay 58 earns its wings. Decked with an appealing neo-vintage flair, the two-toned burgundy and black bezel and gilt touches evoke the golden age of air travel in the 1950s when travelling across time zones was the ultimate sign of a glamorous lifestyle.Following the launch of the popular 41mm Black Bay series in 2012, Tudor introduced the Black Bay 58 in 2018. Appealing to a wider audience with its more compact 39mm diameter, the Black Bay 58 was closer in size to its forefather, the 37mm Tudor Submariner 7924 of 1958, the brand's first 200m water-resistant diver's watch, also known as the Big Crown'. Buying Guide - Six Recently Launched Rock-Solid Adventurous Watches
Most watch enthusiasts and collectors are rarely content with their current collection. Sure, it might hold someone’s most desired pieces to date, but there’s always that next one to lust after. And to be honest, I have a long list of watches that are theoretically within my reach and would one day love to own. On the other hand, I often wonder what I would keep if I had to tone it down to just a single watch. I would be looking at something that allows me to do anything, and go anywhere if I’m honest. That watch would need to go with my every-day activities, but also be robust enough to go hiking or kayaking in the wilderness. I’d probably also want a watch easy-to-wear and sits on the wrist comfortably. And of course, it needs to be legible under all circumstances. So what do I end up with? Likely something like one of these six recently introduced adventure watches!Tudor RangerEarlier in the year Tudor brought back the illustrious Ranger with the new 79950 re
