Longines L28215117 Record White Dial Automatic Men's Two Tone Watch is the picture of pure elegance and luxury. The intricate design and overall allure of the timepiece are enough to rope in any fashion enthusiast with a keen eye. However, on top of it all, the timepiece has a fair amount of features to boost as well. Not only is the dome of the dial scratch resistant sapphire crystal, but the glass of the transparent back is also sapphire in nature. The dial's protection is further lengthened by the application of several layers of anti-reflective coating on the inside. The self-winding mechanical movement timepiece takes it one step further by adding 18-carat pink gold on its dial and small bars in the bracelet.

In-Depth - A Look at Shaped Watches by Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe through History - Monochrome Watches
When thinking about the archetype of the round Swiss watch, the first names that come to mind might very well be Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin. As the custodians of Geneva's watchmaking tradition, influenced by the sober protestant spirit, both brands stand for subtle, understated elegance. However, beyond the design conventions dictated by the round wristwatch, Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin have in common a long, rich legacy of shaped watches. After Cartier, Monochrome brings together a (non-exhaustive) selection of shaped watches from Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin.Hands turn in a circle. The semantic notion of what a clock should look like is round. The circle is the direct consequence of the mechanics to display the time and it is the most versatile shape in many respects. The first wristwatches were mostly pocket watches, modified later to be strapped on the wrist. However, designing shaped watches gave watchmakers an?opportunity to express their creativit
Hands-On With The New and Original Kudoke 3 HANDwerk
Stefan Kudoke and his unique and intricate timepieces incorporating elements of traditional watchmaking with modern designs and super-fine execution have been known to collectors and watch enthusiasts for quite some time before his Kudoke 2 watch won the Petite Aiguille at the 2019 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve (GPHG). The high-profile success brought wider recognition and increased demand for the Kudoke creations, Kudoke 1 and Kudoke 2, that represent the HANDwerk Collection, not to forget that Stefan Kudoke is also famous for his KUNSTwerk engraved and skeletonised watches produced in limited numbers. And he is busy making unique, bespoke watches that fall into the YOURwerk collection. So it is understandable why we had to wait four years to lay our hands on a new, just recently released Kudoke 3.Kudoke 3 is another fine timepiece from the German watchmaker that continues to pursue the design and aesthetics introduced in Kudoke 1 and 2. It is launched in the same 39mm round
Fugue Chronostase, Making a Case for Modularity - Monochrome Watches
Modularity has become a big thing in the watch industry, with more and more embracing the concept of customisation (at least for some very high-end brands) and interchangeable strap/bracelet system – think Vacheron Constantin, Maurice Lacroix or Cartier. Yet, in the end, you have the same watch on a different strap. Certainly a nice first step and a good idea, but some thought they could go several steps further in this field of modularity. Meet Fugue Watch and the?Chronostase, an accessible microbrand that allows you to change the strap AND the case of your watch in less than a minute.A singular approach to modularityIn today’s context, modularity and the ability to customize your belongings have become more than a trend. For years, the car industry allowed ordering your car with a fully personalized configuration. However, the watchmaking industry is always a bit slow to embrace trends. It is only recently that we’ve seen mainstream brands offer easy-change systems

Introducing the Don Kylne & Co watch, an elegant watch under 300 bucks - Monochrome-Watches
You know us here, at Monochrome-Watches, when it comes to horology, we’re snobs. We love complications, hand-finished movements or anything that stands out of the crowd (meaning independent watchmaking). However, there’s a point where all these beauties will still be dreams attached on our teenagers’ walls. We have to be realistic and admit that only a few of us will potentially buy a 6-figure watch. For this reason, from time to time, we have to show something affordable – but that still have some extra-features (and that is still is mechanical of course). Here is?the Don Kylne & Co watch, an elegant watch under 300?dollars.In the case you’re searching for your first?nice?watch or if you want to extend your collection and you don’t have a huge budget, the easy solution is to look for a quartz-operated watch with a design that suits you.
