Luxury Watches |
The best watches by Longines belong to their Master collection. The Longines L21285787 hosts a light background which is silver barleycorn in color fitted with blued steel hands. The watch is adorned in a stainless-steel yellow gold case with a transparent back to admire its interior markings. Its Sapphire crystal protects the dial and also provides a quality appearance to the piece. The 40 hours of power reserve serve as a brilliant practical attribute. This watch is an impeccable masterpiece by Longines.

Weekly Watch Photo - Hodinkee's new design - Monochrome Watches
This Weekly Watch photo is dedicated to our friends of Hodinkee. They have been sharing the coolest watch news and the best finds of vintage watches with us for years. The other week they changed the design of the blog in a rather unusual way…. but I love it.?Like this photo that Ben Clymer, founder, owner and executive editor of Hodinkee, posted on his Facebook page. It actually says it all. Two beautiful vintage timepieces and his iPhone in the middle. And when I bought a vintage Audemars Piguet Royal Oak from the 1970’s earlier this year, I can (at least partially) blame Ben for infecting me with the vintage Royal Oak virus. IWC Big Pilots Watch Perpetual Calendar Spitfire IW503601 // Review
As a regular reader of MONOCHROME, you will know already that each year, Swiss watch manufacturer IWC focuses on a specific collection. Last year, it was the brand's legendary Pilot's Watch series, with a number of cool variations introduced to the market. Here's a video overview of the highlights from IWC's CEO Christoph Grainger-Herr shot at SIHH 2019. With so many new models being launched - and not all from IWC, of course - there were inevitably some we did not get a chance to devote suitable attention to at the time. One such example is the limited-edition IWC Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Spitfire IW503601. So, if you can forgive us for being a year late, here's our hands-on look at this bronze-case beauty. The Spitfire CollectionAs you might have guessed, the Spitfire Collection takes its name from a plane, the Supermarine Spitfire. This was not just any plane, though. It was a veritable legend of the skies, used by the Royal Air Force and other Allied countries before, du
Hands-On - Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m America's Cup
Announced recently by Omega and covered in this news article here, the Biel-based brand has just announced the renewal of its role as the official timekeeper of the America's Cup, with the 36th edition to be held in Auckland, New Zealand, from the 6th to the 21st of March 2021. At the same time, Omega is also releasing a new limited edition watch to celebrate this partnership, a watch based on the rugged professionally oriented PO 600m with a very handsome colour scheme. Let’s have a closer look at this new Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m 36th America’s Cup, now in the metal.Omega and the America’s CupThe America's Cup is renowned as the oldest trophy in international sport and since 1851 is considered to be the most prestigious sailing race in the world. The concept goes that a trophy awarded to the winner of the America’s Cup match races between two sailing yachts. One yacht, known as the defender, represents the yacht club that currently holds the America’s
Hands-On - The 2022 TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche Limited Edition
During Watches and Wonders 2022, TAG Heuer has unveiled its second chronograph stemming from its partnership with Porsche. This partnership between the two brands was announced in 2021 and resulted from an entwined history marked by an obsession with speed and motorsports. Following the first classic stainless steel version, the TAG Heuer Carrera x Porsche is back in a black-and-yellow limited edition for 2022.?First and foremost, the brands have in common the Carrera name that was incarnated by Jack Heuer's 1963 chronograph and some of the carmaker's most powerful creations. In particular, both Jack Heuer and Ferry Porsche were fascinated by La Carrera Panamericana, a perilous endurance race staged in Mexico that ended up inspiring the name of Jack Heuer's chronograph and the top-performing sports cars produced by Porsche. The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Collection Goes Green & Gold
The sunburst green dial is not a new concept for Vacheron Constantin; there are references in the Traditionelle collection featuring the same finish. With that in mind, the new sporty and chic Overseas references, while adding a new adventurous direction, are essentially the same watches we have seen released in previous years, in pink gold and steel, with blue, silver and black coloured dials. The timepieces in question are the Overseas Self-Winding 41mm and the 35mm (with a gem-set bezel), the Overseas Dual Time 41mm and the Overseas Chronograph 42,5mm. Now, though, they come in a delectable pairing of pink, gold and green.Christian Selmoni, Vacheron Constantin’s Style & Heritage Director, shed light on the decision to incorporate green, stating that the Overseas collection provides an ideal canvas for colour experimentation. He emphasised the desire to expand beyond the traditional palette of white, black, and the iconic Overseas blue. When questioned about the choice to d
