Spotted - Football Player Roberto Firmino with an HYT H0
Usually, professional football players show a preference for a handful of watch brands. They are usually spotted with mainstream brands like Audemars Piguet, Hublot, Patek Philippe, Richard Mille or . I have observed a couple of players with timepieces from A. Lange & Sohne and Patek, and also watches from independent brand Urwerk. This leads us to today's player who has purchased a watch that tells the time using an unconventional method. Here's Roberto Firmino's HYT watch.Roberto Firmino is a Brazilian football (or soccer for our US readers…) player for English Premier League club Liverpool FC and the Brazil national team, as an attacking midfielder, forward or winger. On 31 August 2019, Firmino became the first Brazilian player to score 50 goals in the Premier League when he netted the third and final goal in a 3¨C0 win over Burnley.Photo by Chloe Knott – Danehouse/Getty ImagesHe recently purchased a watch from HYT. TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 02 GMT Chronograph - Hands-On Review (Specs & Price)
The Carrera, a pillar of TAG Heuer's identity, turns 55 this year and is feted with a rush of Carrera models, including this racy 45mm Carrera Chronograph GMT fitted with the souped-up in-house Heuer 02 movement. Displaying the 3-6-9 chronograph configuration of the original Carrera, TAG Heuer steams ahead and embraces a contemporary skeletonised look to ensure the Carrera stays in the fast lane.Globetrotters and GMTsGMT watches are perennial favourites and turned up in all sorts of guises at Baselworld 2018, including Tudor and ' bold move to corner all price segments of the market with their respective Pepsi-bezel GMT models. Doing what the Carrera does best, TAG Heuer proposed a combo of its in-house chronograph movement topped with a GMT complication, marking a first for the brand. Brimming with brazen energy, fans of the original Carrera will be happy to note that the 45mm stainless steel case still boasts some identity traits of its ancestor with flat, faceted lugs and the origi
A Comprehensive Guide to Watch Crystals - History, Types, Advantages, and Disadvantages
In the world of watches, the crystal is one of the most crucial yet often overlooked components of a timepiece. This thin transparent cover protects the dial from dust, moisture, and external damage while allowing clear visibility of the watch’s timekeeping functions – and, in many modern watches, its movement, too. Over the years, watchmakers have developed various types of crystals, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. In this article, we will explore the different types of crystals used in watchmaking, focusing on their material properties, advantages, and potential drawbacks. You might think this is a detail, but after all, it is the crystal that offers the first glimpse into a watch…Watch Crystals, a brief historical recapWhile sapphire is now the preferred material in the watch industry, its use on a large scale is relatively recent, and many other materials have been used in the past.?Early clocks didn't even have a protective crystal, and the
TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 02 GP Monaco Historique CBL2114 (Specs & Price)
It would be quite difficult to come up with a better match than what’s following. When you own a watch in your portfolio – and an iconic one on top of it – that is named “Monaco”, you have to do something linked to motorsport in the Principality of Monaco – which is also known as a temple of racing. So not only has the Automobile Club Monaco appointed TAG Heuer as official timekeeper of the Grand Prix Monaco Historique, but the brand launches a new (and very handsome) watch to commemorate this event… We told you, quite a good match. Meet the TAG Heuer Monaco Calibre 02 “Grand Prix de Monaco Historique” Edition.Timekeeper of the Historical Monaco GPDespite the fact that the?12th edition of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, scheduled to take place from 8 to 10 May 2020 on the legendary Monaco circuit, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ACM has already started planning for the next edition and has appointed TAG Heuer as
Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Gravity - Full Review with live photos, specs and price - Monochrome-Watches
It's not often we cover Maurice Lacroix on Monochrome, but over the past few years we've seen a number of interesting watches being introduced by this manufacture. We showed you the Masterpiece Gravity as a Baselworld 2014 introduction, but now we bring share our extensive review just prior to Baselworld 2015, in anticipation of the novelties to come.Founded in 1976, the Swiss brand of Maurice Lacroix is upping their game since 2006 by bringing in-house developed components and movements to their line-up. The introduction of a square and clover-leaf wheel, intriguingly placed on the dial-side of the watch and doubling as an indicator for the seconds or a seemingly floating seconds hand are two of the noteworthy visible characteristics of their work. For the Gravity, an in-house silicon escapement receives a prominent place on the front of the watch. I'd say on the dial but there really isn't one except for the small, off-center one.
