This piece by Longines is truly a fine piece of craftsmanship. The Master L29094786 has a case made from stainless steel. It has a diameter of 40mm and a transparent back. The dial of the watch is the star of the show. It is silver and has black hands. The Arabic numerals that function as hour markers are also black. Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary SLGH002 new Calibre 9SA5 - Specs & Price
We didn't expect anything less. To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Grand Seiko launches its new hi-beat mechanical calibre 9SA5, the foundation stone for an entirely new generation of Grand Seiko watches. Representing an advancement as revolutionary as the first calibre 9S of 1998 – the base movement powering all watches in the Grand Seiko (barring Spring Drive) collection to date – the new 9SA5 maintains the high-beat frequency but extends the power reserve and adds an extremely rare Dual Impulse Escapement. Making its inaugural voyage onboard the newly designed yellow gold time-and-date Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary SLGH002, the watch will be available at Grand Seiko boutiques in August 2020.Raising the stakes with the 9SA5The challenge for Seiko's development team was to deliver the same level of stable accuracy found in the existing high-beat 36,000vph movement (the 9Sxx?hi-beat family) but extend the power reserve from 55 hours to 80 hours and slim down the movement. Arnold & Son Adds the Time Pyramid to Its Instrument Collection - Monochrome Watches
Arnold and Son flies the Union Jack with pride, continuing a British watch making tradition that goes back to John Arnold (1736-1799) and his son John Roger Arnold (1769-1843). The company supplied marine chronometers to the Royal Navy for navigating longitude. The Instrument Collection, which boasts the Time Pyramid among others, harkens to the past, but recasts this past in innovative interpretations. The Time Pyramid is the latest addition.A magician never reveals his secrets is the answer given at every elementary aged birthday party where the magician is the event's top billing. Disappearing coin – just a wave of the hand. Guess the card - a touch of the card to the forehead. Rabbit out of the hat - a tap of the wand and Presto. Children's Ah, Wow, Cool is followed by How did he do that? The first look at the Time Pyramid elicits this same question, but instead of the magician's code of silence, Arnold & Son lets us peek. We get to see inside this watch, but it still loo
Weekly Watch Photo - IWC Big Pilot's Watch - Monochrome Watches
IWC totally understands how to promote their watches. I think they’ve been looking closely at what watch fans have been doing at forums and what Monochrome also does once a week… sharing beautiful photos of beautiful watches. For the launch of the new Pilot’s watch collection, IWC created a set of very cool photos of their newest timepieces. We already showed you photos of the new Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar and the Pilot’s Watch Mark XVII. Today we show you the Big Pilot’s Watch ref. 5009 and the Top Gun and Top Gun Miramar Editions. When IWC released the first Big Pilot’s Watch (ref. 5002) in 2002 it was, together with Panerai, THE watch that changed the fashion of the watch world from what we call now-a-days ‘medium-size’ to BIG. In those days, any watch larger that 40/41 mm in diameter was considered large. I still recall people saying my TAG Heuer Monaco (square case, 38 x 38 mm) being very big. Imagine how much the perce
News: LVMH and TAG Heuer Become Official Partner of Formula 1 for 10 Years
While rumours had circulated for some time, the confirmation has now been made. As Formula 1 gears up to celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2025, there's major news shaking up its sponsorship landscape. LVMH, the world's largest luxury conglomerate, has officially signed on as a Global Partner of Formula 1 in a groundbreaking 10-year deal, with what is certainly one of the most important sports sponsorship deals ever. If no figures have been disclosed, it’s reasonable to imagine a 10-figure investment over the course of this partnership. While it will bring several iconic LVMH Maisons, including Louis Vuitton and Mo?t Hennessy, into the Formula 1 spotlight, our primary focus here at MONOCHROME is, naturally, on the watchmaking aspect, especially when it comes to TAG Heuer. The agreement, set to begin in 2025, marks a significant milestone for LVMH Group, and of course TAG Heuer, a brand synonymous with motorsport heritage. The involvement of the group is obviously pivotal here and
First Look: The New Piaget Polo Skeleton Ceramic
Polo is a highly important name for Piaget. It dates back to 1979 when the brand launched its luxurious solid gold watch with an integrated bracelet and signature gadroons all around. Although it was recently recreated, today’s audiences associate the name Piaget Polo with something far more contemporary and sleeker. Presented in 2016, the Polo collection is the brand’s vision of a luxury sports watch with time-and-date and chronograph options. One of the most appealing options in this collection is the Polo Skeleton, adding thinness and mechanical pedigree to its streamlined design. And this year, it’s back in a bolder, more masculine and sportier model, the Piaget Polo Skeleton Ceramic.?Over the decades, the Polo collection has evolved from a slightly extravagant and opulent watch – typical 1980s luxury – to a more discreet and casual model. When it was introduced in 2016, the contemporary Piaget Polo S collection opened the door to stainless steel cases
