Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph 25th Anniversary 26421 - Review (Price)
As we told you in a recent article, next year will be the 25th anniversary of a modern icon, a watch that simply created the trend for bold sports-luxury watches: the?Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore. In 1993, the brand impressed (or shocked) the industry with this watch, and to celebrate this, AP has some commemorative pieces to mark the occasion. The first one looks at the past, being a re-edition of the first ROO. The second one, which goes under our loupe today, looks towards the future. Aggressive, impressive, complex, architectural… Here is the bold (to say the least)?Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph 25th Anniversary. On one side of the range, Audemars Piguet looks at the past. Indeed, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Royal Oak Offshore (as a reminder, launched at Baselworld 1993), the brand has revealed a vintage-inspired version of this modern icon, a 1:1 re-edition of the very first ROO, with chronograph and blue guilloche dial. This wat
IWC Portugieser Green Dial IW358310 & IW344207 (Specs, Price)
There’s no avoiding green. While silver/white and black used to be the norm, later followed by an array of blue watches in the 2010s, green seems to be THE colour of the 2020s. It’s not a trend anymore; it’s becoming a necessity for brands to have a green edition of classic models. And we can’t blame them, because when it’s done right, a green-coloured watch can be pretty cool. IWC is no stranger to the colour green, pushing the concept as far as possible with a full-green watch, case and strap included. Following yesterday’s launch of the Racing Green Big Pilot 43, it’s now time for the Portugieser to get the same treatment with new green editions of the Portugieser Automatic 40 and Perpetual Calendar 42.?You simply can’t do without it anymore. Green is all over the place, with dozens of watches recently launched with green dials, in all segments of the industry, in all styles and categories, and in all price ranges. IWC has been pretty
Hands-On IWC Big Pilots Watch 43 TOP GUN Ceramic IW329801
The Big Pilot is, without a doubt, one of the most emblematic watches of the entire history of IWC. An oversized watch, almost provocative in its proportions and design, it made an incredible impact on the industry and watch community when first released in 2002. For almost 20 years, it was meant to be BIG, until 2021 and the introduction of a smaller BP, the Big Pilot’s Watch 43. A slightly less striking and even more focused take on the concept, it has since been released in Spitfire models. And for 2022, it’s time for it to go modern and technical, with the new IWC Big Pilot's Watch 43 TOP GUN IW329801 in Black Ceramic. When released in 2021, the Big Pilot's Watch 43 somehow generated quite some comments. While a wider audience certainly appreciated its more restrained looks, its more compact case (thus far more easy to wear), its simpler movement making it more accessible, its ultra-focused display and clever strap/bracelet quick-change system, there were mixed feelings

Vacheron Constantin Historique American 1921 - driver's watch - Monochrome Watches
Vacheron Constantin released a re-issue of a 1920’s watch at SIHH 2009. The Historique American 1921 is probably one of the most beautiful watches Vacheron Constantin ever made, but it also has something weird…In 1919 Vacheron Constantin made a watch in a cushion shape case with a crown placed at the upper left corner, at the 11 ‘o clock position. Usually the crown is at right side of the case mostly at the 3 ‘o clock position, sometimes at the 4 ‘o clock position. Some watches even place the crown at the left side, at the 9 ‘o clock position. The crown position Vacheron Constantin has chosen is very remarkable. I believe this was a so called driver’s watch.Due to the crown position and the use of a conventional movement from a pocket watch, the dial is turned slightly so the 12 ‘o clock position is where the crown is, at the upper left corner. If the watch was worn on the right wrist, it was possible to read time while keeping your hands
