The Nomos Glashutte 331 from the Orion collection is a decent wristwatch. It is made with a strong leather strap with an all-white look. Moreover, there is a pretty silver dial marked with silver-tone hands and index markers to give a fine outlook. Also, there is a sub-dial at the 6'o clock position to indicate small seconds. The watch comes with a powerful caliber with manual winding movements to deliver a high-quality performance.

Hands-On - Moritz Grossmann Atum Hamatic with Pendulum Winding System (Specs & Price)
The vast majority of mechanical watches available nowadays rely on a central oscillating weight to provide power to their movements. Of course, we see lots of variations on this theme - for instance the winching system of the Jacob & Co. Twin Turbo Furious, off-centred micro-rotors, peripheral rotors or even linear rotors. However, the principle is the same and originates?from early pendulum clocks.? To celebrate and bring the pendulum-style movement of clocks into the 21st?century, Moritz Grossmann presents the Atum Hamatic.BackgroundThe often overlooked manufacture of Moritz Grossmann, mentioned in our Germans do it better? article, produces some stellar watches with surprising complications and features that stand out from the crowd. And crowd is a relative term here, considering the fact the brand produces very low numbers of watches per year. The trademark Saxon style is present in almost every watch, with clean and legible dials and superbly finished movements. Moritz Grossma
Swatch Group (meaning 18 brands) To Leave Baselworld in 2019 - Monochrome Watches
For once, we’re not going to use the “breaking news” title for nothing. What came in this morning is important news, no debate. As reported?by Swiss newspapers NZZ am Sonntag and Le Temps, Swatch Group, the world’s largest watchmaking group, will be leaving Baselworld – Switzerland’s largest watch and jewellery fair – as of next year. After already several departures and complaints, this is another hard blow for the highly?decried show.?In an interview with the Swiss newspaper?NZZ am Sonntag?that was published this morning, Nick Hayek, CEO of the Swatch Group, explains that it is no longer relevant or useful for the group to exhibit at Baselworld – even though the Swatch Group’s brand portfolio was one of the major, if the not the main, exhibiting groups of the show. Mr Hayek explains that the costs of such a fair are extremely high for the group and its brands – in excess of CHF 50 million for the group, including?travel expe
Hands-On - Ulysse Nardin Rainbow Collection 2022 (Specs & Price)
Colour is the new protagonist at many watch brands, often making up for a lack of novelties but admittedly bringing a more lighthearted mood to the scene. As you will have noticed, classical black and silver dials are being replaced with bolder and bolder colours. Ulysse Nardin rides this trend during Geneva Watch Days with the launch of two 39mm Lady Diver models and a 45mm Blast Tourbillon, both with an unexpected twist. Instead of applying colour to the dial, UN decks the bezel with an array of multi-coloured gemstones designed to evoke the shimmering colours of its breakthrough silicium escapement. As the first brand to introduce an escapement with silicium components inside the 2001 Freak, UN takes inspiration from the iridescent rainbow of colours produced by the material.SiliciumUlysse Nardin will go down in history as a pioneer of silicium components in watchmaking. Since the early 2000s, silicium has become a promising material for watchmaking thanks to its non-magnetic qualit
Weekly Watch Photo - Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Traditionnelle Chronograph Paris Boutique - Monochrome Watches
The summer is coming, or at least that’s the feeling that I get from the few lovely warm and sunny days, that we enjoyed over the past weeks. OK, the number of rainy, windy, and cold days still outnumber the nice days, but after a very long and miserable winter it feels like a step in the right direction. And when I think of the summer I think of the sunny beaches in the south of France, enjoying a glass of wine on a terrace in small town in Burgundy, or strolling the streets of Paris with my girlfriend. That reminds me of the new must-visit place in the French capitol, located at 2 Rue de la Paix. This is the address of Vacheron Constantin’s new boutique (we showed you the dedicated website and stunning B&W photos here) and to celebrate this, Vacheron introduced four limited editions of the Patrimony Traditionnelle collection, which all feature a stunning?hand-guilloche opaline silver-toned dial. The hand-guilloche pattern on the creme, or off-white, or light-beige, or,
Panerai Luminor 1950 Automatic Flyback Chronograph PAM00653 (Specs & Price)
If you had to define a Panerai watch to somebody who knew nothing about the brand, you would probably end up with a description along these lines: a hefty cushion-shaped case, vintage accents, a unique Italian flair and a simple dial with signature numerals glowing in the dark. Iconic for some, but for others perhaps a bit too minimalist, too empty. However, Panerai has more to offer than time-only watches and if you want more going on your dial, the following?Panerai Luminor 1950 Automatic Flyback Chronograph PCYC (Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge) ref. PAM00653 is definitely one to consider. Let’s get straight to the point: it is one of the coolest Panerai models of the lot (almost unanimously approved among the redaction team). The?Panerai Luminor 1950 PCYC 3 Days Chrono Flyback Automatic Acciaio 44mm?(note to Panerai: please make simpler names for your watches), or the PAM00653 for more simplicity, is part of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge (PCYC) collection,?the leading
