SIHH 2014: A. Lange & Sohne presents the Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar Terraluna - Monochrome Watches
After the presentation in 2013 of the Grand Complication and more recently of the Grand Lange 1 Moon-Phase, the 2014 edition of the SIHH is the time for A. Lange & Sohne to reveal another masterpiece, showing once again the expertise of the manufacture in complicated movements and innovation. The Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar Terraluna combines a perpetual calendar, a regulator display, a 14 days power reserve and a constant force escapement. Already impressive in itself, the front dial is not the only that attracts us; the Terraluna features on its movement side a brand new orbital moon-phase display. The Richard Lange Perpetual Calendar Terraluna is a 45.5mm watch available in both a pink or white gold case. The front face may look quite busy, but regarding at the level of information it brings, the dial is well design. The regulator-layout is build around three circles - the minutes on the top - the hours on the right side - the seconds on the left side. The perpetual calendar
Watch of the Year 2017 with CH24.pl and the Special Jury Prize for #SpeedyTuesday - Monochrome Watches
For several years I've been a member of the jury of the Watch Of The Year in Poland, organised by our friends of CH24.pl. Last week was the gala award ceremony, as per usual held in the beautiful?Sobanski's Palace in Warsaw. Last year we celebrated the many prize winner, and especially the Gronefeld brothers who won no less than two prizes! This year the Special Jury Award went to a fellow Dutchman and that's #SpeedyTuesday founder Robert-Jan Broer.?This year was already the eight edition of the Polish Watch Of The Year,?always with a transparent set of rules and an international jury. While this might not be the Grand Prix de Horlogerie de Geneva (GPHG), one should not underestimate the importance of this award, as it is certainly a good indication of the most important watches of the year. This year no less than 60 timepieces had been pre-selected, in six different categories, and over 12,000 casted their votes for the Public Prize category! Ad - Scroll to continue with ar

News: Universal Geneve Teases its 2026 Return, with Three 70th Anniversary Polerouter SAS Tribute Watches
The Polerouter is, without a doubt, one of the most emblematic watches ever created by Universal Geneve. Not only was it designed by young Gerald Genta, but it was powered by an important micro-rotor movement and was a purpose-built watch created by request of SAS, asking Universal Geneve to create a watch that could support pilots flying over the North Pole for the first time – which occurred exactly 70 years ago, on November 15, 1954. Now, you're certainly aware that, under the guidance of Georges Kern (CEO of Breitling), together with private investment firms Partners Group and CVC Capital Partners, Universal Geneve will be back soon. But before we see what the brand has to offer (in 2026), here's a tribute to the Polerouter SAS Watches. Three faithful recreations with historic micro-rotor movements, each a unique piece, one of which will be auctioned Are we seeing here a draft for future models to come? This will remain a question for now.?A quick recap about the Universal Ge
Introducing: Quiet Club QC01 Fading Hours
Imagine yourself being completely immersed in something of the utmost importance. Every single fibre is zoned in on the task at hand, whatever that may be. The outside world has ceased to exist for you in that moment of complete concentration. And then…. an alarm goes off, rudely breaking your concentration and bursting your zen-bubble. That very sensation is something we’re probably all familiar with, and it takes a lot of time to find your mojo again after it’s happened. Interruptions are something we have to deal with for sure, especially in this day and age. And in all honesty, it’s needed sometimes, to not forget about other responsibilities. But there are ways to make that break a bit more gently, less abrupt and smoother. That’s what Quiet Club aims to do with their first-ever watch, the QC01 Fading Hours. The whole idea behind the Quiet Club QC01 Fading Hours comes from the very notion of trying to be laser-focused in work or something your deeply p
