A perfect combination of sports and elegance, Museum collection N¡ã mixes a bit of pink gold in it for flair and fun. The lacquered white dial hosts the legal trademark of Omega brand at the center. Within the main dial, there are two separate subdials at 3 and 9 o' clock, respectively. The classic look is more elevated by the attachment of a leather strap. At the back of the dial, the Omega trademark sign is embossed/engraved, with the serial number signifying that the piece is part of the limited edition classics.

Hands-On With The New & Elegant IWC Portofino Perpetual Calendar
As a brand associated with pilot’s watches and the much-loved Portugieser, IWC‘s stylish yet understated unisex Portofino family is often overlooked. By the look of things, though, IWC is addressing this somewhat neglected collection by introducing new, more complicated models, including a pointer date, a complete calendar and a chronograph. Unveiled at the end of last year, the Portofino was fitted with IWC’s perpetual calendar module developed by former head watchmaker Kurt Klaus. Housed in a compact 40mm stainless steel case (there is also a gold edition), the brand has hit a soft spot with the more restrained diameter, which is currently the smallest perpetual calendar in the brand’s collections.Simple caseLaunched in 1984, the Portofino’s clean, classical looks have earned the collection the much sought-after distinction of timelessness. The minimalist round case design of the Portofino can trace its lineage to the 1970s when IWC made a pocket watch b
Hands-On - IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Bronze IW388109
A classic among the collection of Pilot’s Watches, almost as important as the Big Pilot (in fact, it’s a chronograph that relaunched the pilot range at IWC), the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph is the collection’s cornerstone. A staple for the brand, which has produced such a model since the mid-1990s. For long an oversized watch with a 43mm case and Valjoux-based movement, it was revamped in 2021 with the introduction of a smaller case and a manufacture movement. Following the classic steel editions and a Ceratanium model, the brand once again demonstrates its focus on materials with this new IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Bronze IW388109, combining warm colours for the case and dial.?The current IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 is the direct descendant of two significant watches: the mid-1990s references 3711 Doppelchronograph and the 3705, the classic chronograph housed in a ceramic case (and its steel counterpart, the 3706). These two watches were th
Hands-On: Fam Al Hut sets a new Benchmark for Chinese Indie Watchmaking
This article is a guest post by one of our readers and contributors to the Collector’s Series, a gentleman who prefers to remain anonymous but who’s very active on Instagram @winewhiskywatches.We've long suspected that Chinese cost structures might provide compelling competitive advantages for high-end watchmaking, assuming that a Chinese watchmaking brand could effectively establish credibility with an original aesthetic vision, advanced movement design, chronometric precision, durability and exceptional movement finishing. Fam Al Hut, a new independent watch brand based in Chongqing, China, aims to be the first to do exactly that. And we’re taking a closer look at its Mark I Bi-Axis Tourbillon.Editor’s Note: Over the past few years at MONOCHROME, we have covered several interesting independent watchmakers from China, proving that the country has far more to offer than just entry-level movements and fake watches. We can, of course, talk about the rise of brands
Tudor Black Bay Black Bezel / Red Triangle 79220N - EXCLUSIVE HANDS-ON REVIEW (live photos, specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
The Tudor Black Bay is undoubtably a success story. You can’t deny its beauty, its quality or its darn right coolness. We loved?it at first sight here, on Monochrome-Watches, whether in its first Burgundy / Red 79220R execution?and even more with the?Midnight Blue 79220B edition, with it’s more subdued?colour?pallet. With the latest novelties from the brand?(Pelagos & North Flag), we we concerned Tudor may not continue to the?evolution?of the Black Bay – but thankfully, they didn’t, and we now have now a new edition, the Tudor Black Bay Black Bezel / Red Triangle ref. 79220N. And here is our?exclusive hands-on review of it.Designed by / for Monochrome-Watches?Well, clearly this is presumptuous of us. Of course, we didn’t designed it and we didn’t participate in the conception of this new?Tudor Black Bay Black Bezel / Red Triangle 79220N. However, let’s rewind and look back a few weeks before Baselword 2014. If you’re a regular reader
SIHH 2016: Introducing the Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum - Live photos, specs and price - Monochrome Watches
Last year Montblanc introduced the Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum and that was the brand’s first?worldtimer. It was an instant succes, and received so much positive comments from both collectors and laymen. This year the brand not only celebrates their 110th anniversary, but also the 10th anniversary of the 4810 collection that was introduced a decade ago for Montblanc’s 100 anniversary. The entire 4810 collection has been redesigned, not drastically, but let’s say it’s a good touch-up after being in service for ten years. Slightly slimmer watches, slightly reduced diameters, and it looks good. Several novelties are being introduced into this collection, including aforementioned worldtimer, the Montblanc 4810 Orbis Terrarum.Last year we have tested the Orbis Terrarum from the Heritage Spirit collection. It proves to be a very stylish watch that easily catches the attention, and during our test period it received very positive comments. So compared to that model,
