The Omega 215.33.46.51.03.001 Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph watch continues the Seamaster line's trend of showcasing inspiration from the ocean and sailors. This wristwatch has a Stainless steel case attached to a blue leather strap (which has a rubber lining). The unidirectional rotating stainless steel bezel of the watch has a blue aluminum top ring. Keeping with the ocean theme, the Blue dial has luminous silver-tone hands and index hour markers. The two sub-dials display 60 seconds, and 12 hours. There's a pop of orange in the sub-dial. The silver and blue will look great with any casual wear.

The Collector's Series - Charles and his fascinating Gronefeld Parallax Tourbillon... In Titanium - Monochrome-Watches
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of sitting down with?distinguished?collector and?contributor to the Deployant Blog,?Charles Sutanto.?As an engineer, Charles tells me it was really a?fascination?with mechanics that drew him to watches. ?His horological journey started approximately 15 years ago with the purchase of Jaeger LeCoultre Master?Memovox. In his early days of collecting he?found himself appreciating?creations?from the likes?of both?Audemars Piguet and Panerai. It is fair to say that as time went on, during?2007 and the Tempus, Charles went through somewhat of a transition in his collecting focus. This was the period in which he was introduced to the world of independents and haute haute horology. Voutilainen, De Bethune and other independents became the core of Charles' focus. With this in mind, I?thoroughly?enjoyed discussing a watch you rarely see in the wild…a Gronefeld Parallax Tourbillon (in titanium). When did you first get into watches?I guess what ignite my in
Baume & Mercier Clifton 8-Day Power Reserve (specs and price) - Monochrome-Watches
Another novelty from Watch &?Wonders 2014. And a pretty interesting one too. To celebrate its 185th anniversary, Baume & Mercier will please the collectors with a refined and elegant watch. You’ll argue that the brand is already used to create such watches. Yes, it is true. But this one plays?into another mechanical level, as it comes with a large, complicated IWC movement. Here is the Baume & Mercier Clifton 8-Day Power Reserve. The Clifton can be seen as the flagship timepiece of the brand. We recently reviewed the Retrograde Date Edition and we’ve been quite impressed by the quality of the package delivered. It is clearly?not a passionate’s or collector’s watch, but it is a solid choice as a refined daily beater. However, into the collection, some of the watches are playing into another category: more refined, more complicated and more collectible. The first example was the?Baume & Mercier Clifton 1830. No more ETA /?Soprod movement and stainle

Petrolhead Corner: After F1 and P1 Comes W1, Says McLaren
In the 1990s, the legendary McLaren F1 went up against the equally iconic Ferrari F40 and Porsche 959. In the early 2010s, the P1 took on the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. Now though, for the time being at least, McLaren has the playing field all to its own, as it just launched the all-new W1, the first entry in the upcoming revamp of the hypercar-holy-trinity! Of course, there are others, such as Koenigsegg and Pagani, but the three-way brawl between McLaren, Ferrari and Porsche is considered the most epic showdown in the upper echelons of the industry. All three ushered in a new era of electrified high-performance engineering and were the pinnacle of what the three brands had to offer in terms of technology and innovation. The McLaren W1 however, seeks to rewrite the rulebook again and packs no less than 1,275 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels only! The W1 alongside its predecessors, the P1 and F1.There’s an unexpected problem though; the W1 is not the fas
The Petrolhead Corner - Rob Dickinson of Singer Vehicle Design, The Most Amazing Restomod Porsche 911s
Today we're talking with Rob Dickinson, founder and creative director of Singer Vehicle Design and co-founder for watch brand Singer Reimagined. When we were preparing to film a video interview with Rob, some two years ago, I knew about the Singer Reimagined Track 1, that super cool chronograph featuring Jean-Marc Wiederecht's innovative chronograph calibre. But that was it, so I “Googled” him and found out that Rob used to be the lead singer and guitar player of a band that I listened to a lot. I still vividly remember a concert of his band, Catherine Wheel, back in 1990 or 1991, when they played together with the Smashing Pumpkins and support act, The Verve. So, shortly before filming that video interview about Singer Reimagined, we talked music and days gone by.?Later we also talked cars, of course! I'm a watch guy, but I'm also a car guy. Like watches, I prefer cars with mechanical content, a petrol engine and not too many batteries. And that's exactly what Rob and his
