IWC Pilot's Chronograph Edition Tribute to 3705 IW387905 - Video Review
It is rather surprising to see how some items have gained cult status years after their discontinuation, while when they were widely available, almost no one dared to pay attention to them… There are, of course, watches that have been overlooked before they shoot to unexpected fame. One such model is the 1994 “IWC Fliegerchronograph Keramik”, also known as the Pilot’s Chronograph 3705, a watch that faded into obscurity before recently becoming one of the brand’s most collectable youngtimers. Today, the Schaffhausen-based brand pays homage to this cult classic with the new IWC Pilot’s Chronograph Edition “Tribute to 3705” that evokes the past, but also looks at the future. And we have it here today, with a video review! Background, IWC’s Flieger ChronographsIWC is one of the watch manufacturers with the richest history in pilot’s watches. Video The 2022 TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200
At first, TAG Heuer might not be your go-to brand for a dive watch. The brand is, after all, very much about racing chronographs and motorsport. Think Carrera, Autavia, Monaco, Silverstone, and many more names that bring back memories of great chronograph watches. Yet, since the 1980s and the 2000-series of watches, TAG Heuer is involved in serious dive watches. Following the revamp of the Aquaracer collection in 2021, with the Aquaracer Professional 300 watches, this year the brand adds a new model with the Aquaracer Professional 200 series. Slimmer, thinner, more focused, and quite handsome to look at, these new 40mm models might be the best option in the collection. Let’s discover them in our video review.?We’ve already reviewed the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200, but our video will show you everything you need to know. Just in case, here’s a quick reminder. These new models follow the direction taken by their bigger brother, the Aquaracer Professional 30
Tudor Black Bay Bronze Grey Dial Ref. 79250BA (Specs & Price)
In the face of the relatively ‘conservative’ panorama that reigned over Baselworld 2019, journalists and aficionados eagerly awaited for the embargo to be lifted on the heavyweight contenders of the fair – and Tudor. Although Tudor was confident that the star of the show would be its commercial (and polarising) rendition of a historic prototype, the Black Bay P01, the reality was that most eyes were drawn to the Black Bay Bronze model. Consolidating three ongoing trends in watchmaking - the mood for retro, bronze cases and gradient dials – Tudor hits another home run with its 2019 Black Bay Bronze 79250BA, dressed in Grey. Now in its third bronze dive suit, the 43mm Black Bay Bronze features a slate-grey gradient dial and is fitted with manufacture calibre MT560, complete with COSC chronometry certification. Having spent some hands-on time with the latest incarnation of the Black Bay, we are convinced that this is the best iteration of the BBB to date. Rugged a
Rare Roger Dubuis watches - Monochrome Watches
Sometimes you see a watch and you immediately ‘fall in love’ with it. This does not happen too often, but what if this happens with two watches from the same brand? Recently a friend mailed me about a watch that was for sale at a local watch store. He knoww I have a weak spot for mono-poussoir chronographs. The watch was a Roger Dubuis Hommage Mono-poussoir in white gold with a salmon color dial. A salmon color dial is not my usual pick, but this one was so beautiful…. It’s incredibly complex, yet absolutely not ‘loud’. This watch has all the ingredients?I like, a mono-poussoir chronograph, an absolutely stunning movement which is?super
