This timepiece functions as a pilot's wristwatch, owing to a large dial, sharp visibility, and oversized crown, contributing to making it a practical product. Styled in rustic brown and bronze colors for the dial, the vintage hint in Oris Big Crown Pointer Date will delight masculine taste. The hour and minute hands are filled with a luminescence that prominent the hour markers on a plain, brown dial. The anti-reflective crystal is built with sapphire, and the stainless-steel case back gives the watch strong support. The leather strap with a clasp is a beautiful contrasting feature on the wrist, playing in colors of brown and bronze.

Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon Chronograph (Price)
After a rather controversial initial impression and some noise in the collecting community,?Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet is now finding its way in both AP’s collections and in the heart of collectors. The brand is now working on expanding the range, adding some extravaganza and boldness, with for instance the greatly designed two-tone versions or the new smoked colours launched earlier this year. But it was also time for Audemars Piguet to demonstrate its savoir-faire as a high-end watchmaker, and the new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Flying Tourbillon Chronograph is here to show you the brand’s skills.?Well, the collection of?Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet isn’t what you can call entry-level watchmaking… Since its introduction, it has been available with multiple complications, such as the long-awaited integrated in-house chronograph, an open-worked tourbillon, an ultra-thin perpetual calendar and an impressive minute repeater. Today though, it is an unpreceden
H. Moser & Cie. Swiss Icons Watch, Another Irreverence to the Industry
H. Moser & Cie. does it again with the Swiss Icons Watch…! Yes, it is a mess. Yes, it looks terrible. No, it is not a joke and it does really exist. But indeed, it is again a brave move from the brand. Early 2017, Moser decided to remove the “Swiss Made” inscription from their watches and coincidentally they launched the Swiss Mad Watch (100% Swiss, including the cheese case). Now, the brand again wants to make some noise and to point what they believe to be the watchmaking industry’s main issue; the lack of creativity and the overly-present marketing.H. Moser & Cie. wants to make Swiss-Made great again…Back in early 2017, H. Moser & Cie. created a buzz with one and only goal: to draw the attention of the general public on the lack of consistency of the “Swiss Made” mention that is printed on all the supposedly “Swiss Made” watches. Indeed, at least 60% of the value of the components within?a Swiss Made watch?will have t
The Omega Railmaster is a criminally overlooked steel sports watch.
We all have our preferences in life. And that's a very good thing, otherwise, it would become very boring, very quickly if we all lusted after the same things. But sometimes, the feeling of forced uniformity tends to creep up on us through various circumstances. The Volkswagen Beetle, for instance, was sold in the millions but not because it was such a good car. The same goes for watches, and to us, it's sometimes baffling how many people tend to blindly follow the masses and not go for something more original and true to heart. This sadly leads to seriously cool watches being massively overlooked without proper reason. Case in point: the Omega Seamaster Railmaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer, a sleek, vintage-styled watch with an interesting history and proper mechanics under the hood.In today's watch industry, people are seemingly flocking towards steel sports watches of all sorts. And for good reason, as most are perfect, everyday watches that can take a bit of a beating. And honest
Brellum Duobox Pandial Chronograph - Review (Specs & Price)
If you’re a long-time reader of MONOCHROME, you should already be familiar with Brellum, a young Swiss-based brand responsible for the Duobox. This watch is everything of a no-nonsense chronograph: slightly vintage-inspired, robust, very well built and overall, cool to wear. We now have the first main evolution of this watch, the?Duobox Pandial. The racing inspiration is now clear, with a two-tone dial and an external tachymeter bezel. Let’s have a closer look. The brandBrellum?was founded in 2016 by?Sebastien Muller, someone well-connected to his roots, as the 4th generation of a family of watchmakers in the Swiss Jura. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, he then decided to start doing his own watches, instead of working for others. The idea, when launching Brellum, was to offer high-quality, no-nonsense watches – only sports chronographs for the moment – with reliable movements, well-curated parts and some little extras (which we’ll explain
Introducing: The Sleeker yet Colourful Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 40mm
Alongside the green and terracotta Big Crown Pointer Date Calibre 403 housed in a 40mm case with a sleek, polished bezel instead of the classic coin-edge design, Oris also introduces a trio of new, simpler versions of its emblematic watch. And while these lack the high-performance Calibre 403 movement and replace it with a Sellita engine, these Oris Big Crown Pointer Date models make up for it with vibrant dial colours and new bracelets at a more accessible price point. Like the Calibre 403 variant, the new Oris Big Crown Pointer Date watches feature a 40mm stainless steel case with a 47.5mm lug-to-lug measurement and 50m water resistance. The case is 12mm thick, with an oversized screw-in crown and a double-domed sapphire crystal with AR coating to protect the dial. Around the back, a screwed-down display caseback – this time with mineral glass instead of sapphire – reveals the movement within. Importantly, the signature fluted bezel of most models i
