Omega has always been known for its bold and eccentric timepieces, and this model from the Speedmaster Moonwatch is the perfect example of Omega's trademark features. Inspired by the daring adventures of the Apollo 8 astronauts, this timepiece captures the mystique of the earth's nightlight with its all-black, ceramic Speedmaster Dark Side of the moon design. The 44.25mm casing is designed out of black ceramic and holds the grey colored dial that features a chronograph for ultimate precision and framed by an 18 carat Sedna gold bezel that features a tachymeter

A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Minute Repeater White Gold/Blue Dial (Price)
One of the most advanced watches of our day, A.Lange & Sohne’s Zeitwerk Minute Repeater is the only watch in the world to combine a jumping numeral display with a decimal minute repeater. Five years after its debut, the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater is revisited in 2020 in a 30-piece limited white gold edition with a blue dial.BackgroundThe first Zeitwerk model, introduced in 2009, featured two apertures for the jumping minutes and hours displayed horizontally. Its unusual digital format immediately captured the attention of watch enthusiasts for its legible and highly intuitive reading of the time from left to right. Revisited a year later with a smoked sapphire crystal to reveal the movement and nicknamed the Zeitwerk Lumen, a Zeitwerk Striking Time model was launched in 2011 offering quarter-hour strikes on demand.Seeing and Hearing SimultaneouslyHowever, the big news came in 2015 with the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater. The novelty here was the incorporation of a decimal repeater, a
In-Depth: The Steel Patek Philippe Cubitus Steel 5821A on the Wrist
This was, by far, the most anticipated launch of the year, but also (and unsurprisingly) the most discussed and commented new release of 2024. In fact, I can’t recall witnessing such an amount of reactions from the watch community since the launch of the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 collection – which, for several reasons, shouldn’t come as a surprise. We’re here to talk, of course, about the Patek Philippe Cubitus. And now that the dust has settled, and following our initial article presenting the collection, we thought it would be relevant to return to the topic, and specifically to look at the core model, the Steel Cubitus 5821A. It’s time to give you our impressions on the wrist – a.k.a the best way to give an objective opinion about a watch.Context of the launchFor several months now, we knew Patek was cooking something, a new collection of sporty-chic watches. Knowing the category, the anticipation was high, to say the least. In addition to that,
Omega De Ville Tresor Orbis Editions (Specs & Price)
Like many other members of the Swiss watch industry, Omega is no stranger to the concept of charity watches, which are created to raise awareness and raise funds in order to support a great cause. Since 2011, the Biel-based brand has been supporting international non-profit organisation Orbis, committed to preventing avoidable blindness in the world's poorest regions. This year, Omega presents a new duo of blue-themed watches, which once again wants to make a difference. Meet the new De Ville Tresor watches for Orbis.Orbis International is an international non-profit non-governmental organisation dedicated to saving sight worldwide. Created in 1982, its programmes focus on the prevention of blindness and the treatment of blinding eye diseases in developing countries through hands-on training, public health education, advocacy and local partnerships. Orbis capacity-building programmes have enhanced the skills of 325,000 eye care personnel and provided medical and optical treatment to mo
Interview - Max Verstappen on F1 and Watches & the new TAG Heuer Verstappen Edition
Following the controversial outcome of the Brazilian Grand Prix, we had the chance to sit down with the hottest ticket on the grid right now as TAG Heuer releases a new watch dedicated to Max Verstappen. Third in line, after the orange and red strap versions from 2016 and 2017, we now get a metal bracelet. It’s still a quartz movement though, as TAG Heuer targets a younger crowd, not necessarily into mechanical watchmaking. The previous models were riddled with details to remind you of the Dutch driver. Of course, the national colour Orange was incorporated and the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Max Verstappen Special Edition 2016 came on an orange rubber strap. The red-white-and-blue of Holland’s flag is also present in all the watches. Besides colour, the number 33 is also referenced in the watches, and the tachymeter scale for the TAG Heuer Formula 1 Max Verstappen Special Edition 2017 was red from zero to thirty-three.Since quartz is not really our thing at
Bovet Monsieur Bovet - Wristwatch, Pocket Watch and Desk Clock in One - Monochrome Watches
There is something special about the Monsieur Bovet This subtly sophisticated watch is imbued with a sense of nostalgia for bygone elegance and its classical lines are clearly inspired by pocket watches. A truly versatile watch, it incorporates Bovet's patented Amadeo convertible case concept. Not one watch, but four watches rolled into one. Here is our take on the new Bovet Monsieur Bovet.Bovet’s patented convertible case is an ingenious system enabling the wearer to transform his timepiece from a reversible wristwatch (a single movement drives its two dials) to an open face pocket watch to a free-standing table clock – all this with minimal effort and without the use of any tools. Invisible push pieces are incorporated within the case. Pushing the cabochons on the buckle at 12 o'clock at the same time releases the upper strap. Another push piece hidden in the bezel allows the release of the lower strap transforming the watch into a pocket wat
