A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Homage to Walter Lange with Stoppable Jumping Second Limited Editions in 3 Colours of Gold and a Stainless Steel Unique Piece - Monochrome Watches
In January 2017, one of the greatest and humblest men I had the chance to meet, Mister Walter Lange (1924-2017), founder of A. Lange & Sohne, sadly passed away. In honour of its founder, the Saxon manufacture is enlarging its 1815 collection with the?1815 Homage to Walter Lange. Inside this watch is a surprising and unexpected complication: a?stoppable jumping seconds hand that dates back to a 150-year-old invention conceived by Ferdinand Adolph Lange. There will be three limited editions in yellow, rose and white gold, and one piece unique in stainless steel… all four are future collector’s watches, and the steel version will is the grail!?An Homage to Herr Walter Lange and his contribution to the German Watchmaking IndustryWalter Lange (1924-2017), founder of A. Hands-On - Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic - The World's Thinnest Mechanical Chronograph Watch - Baselworld 2019 (Specs & Price)
With no fewer than four world record for thinness under its belt, we thought that Bvlgari was going to settle down and enjoy its recognition as the ultimate master of ultra-thin… But we were wrong! Until now, the title for the thinnest chronograph watch (understand mechanical, of course) was in the hands of Piaget, with this 8.24mm thick watch. For Baselworld 2019, Bvlgari sets yet another world record – the fifth to be precise. Please welcome the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph, with a 6.90mm case and a movement of just 3.30mm, making it the thinnest chronograph in the world – and yes, it is automatic and it features a GMT Complication… No less!?Thinness, Bvlgari and ChronographBefore moving to the topic of the day, meaning the record for the world’s thinnest chronograph and this new Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph, a quick reminder of what Bvlgari has done in the field of ultra-thin watchmaking might be useful.Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Trilogy: tourbi
The Cheapest High End watch - Monochrome Watches
Con artist make their living with it; the deep, burning human desire to get something for nothing. When dealing with a con artist, you usually end up with nothing for something, but that does not take away from the fact that we all love to get a good deal on something, ending up with a higher value then we actually paid for. Therefore, in this quest we are going to look for the cheapest, high-end watch there is in today's market. Before we can depart, we first must have a pretty good idea what a high-end watch actually is. While in some opinions, no watch is truly high end unless it features a perpetual calendar of course equipped with a minute repeater and two cathedral gongs, powered by a mechanical movement, with a tourbillion for that extra bit of accuracy, and you definitely cannot go without a sky chart on the back of the watch (how else would you be able find your way home?) that also should display orbit and phase of the moon. Well, then you'll probably also find the Patek Phili
Heuer Autavia Jo Siffert Collectors Edition by Calibre 11 (Specs & Price)
Few names in the world of watchmaking?are as iconic as Jo Siffert – a well-known pilot, strongly linked to vintage chronograph watches. Referring first to the Heuer Autavia watches of the 1970s, with their Panda dials and bright blue accents, the Siffert name has been revived several times in the past, but today is takes on a special meaning. Our friend David Chalmers from Calibre11.com, a reference for everything linked to Heuer and TAG Heuer, has developed a new limited edition with TAG, the?Heuer Autavia Jo Siffert Collector's Edition by Calibre 11 – and it looks quite stunning.Heuer and Jo SiffertJo Siffert shot to fame by winning the 1968 Formula 1 British Grand Prix, a victory that attracted the attention of Jack Heuer, who decided to sponsor the Swiss F1 and Porsche Le Mans ace. As part of the deal, Siffert wore the Heuer logo on his racing overalls and a Heuer Autavia 1163T Chronograph on his wrist. Jack Heuer and Jo Siffert – Jo Siffert
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Collection Goes Green & Gold
The sunburst green dial is not a new concept for Vacheron Constantin; there are references in the Traditionelle collection featuring the same finish. With that in mind, the new sporty and chic Overseas references, while adding a new adventurous direction, are essentially the same watches we have seen released in previous years, in pink gold and steel, with blue, silver and black coloured dials. The timepieces in question are the Overseas Self-Winding 41mm and the 35mm (with a gem-set bezel), the Overseas Dual Time 41mm and the Overseas Chronograph 42,5mm. Now, though, they come in a delectable pairing of pink, gold and green.Christian Selmoni, Vacheron Constantin’s Style & Heritage Director, shed light on the decision to incorporate green, stating that the Overseas collection provides an ideal canvas for colour experimentation. He emphasised the desire to expand beyond the traditional palette of white, black, and the iconic Overseas blue. When questioned about the choice to d
