This model from the Oris Aquis Date is an exceptionally fantastic piece by Oris. The stainless steel dial with brown leather strap looks incredibly excellent. The combination of the dial and leather strap goes perfectly well with casual and formal attire. Also, the window of the date is located at 6 o'clock and gives it a different look. The dial has a combination of high and low tones of green. The luminous silver-tone hands and index hour markers complement the green dial.

A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Chronograph - Hands-on with specs & price - Monochrome Watches
In the past years we have reviewed, what we consider to be the very best and most beautiful, among chronographs. I’m talking about the A. Lange & Sohne Double Split and Datograph. Although these two chronographs are relatively ‘young’, they?are already well-known, and beloved, among collectors. Their design is iconic –?something that this German brand seems to be very good at?–?and inimitable. That’s not just because of what can be seen on the dial side, more so when turning the watch over, you peer into its beating heart you'll be greeted by a movement that is absolutely stunning. After reviewing the mighty Double Split (as it’s lovingly referred to by collectors) and the Datograph, we’re going to have a look at their little brother, the A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Chronograph.Yes, we called the 1815 Chronograph the DS and Dato’s little brother. To put things into perspective: there are 10 chronograph references in the collection
Buying Guide - The Most Sought-After Royal Oak Models in Collection - And the Sad Reality of the Market
After we look at the most desirable models in and Patek Philippe catalogues, and the reality of the market – understand, the premium you’ll have to pay to get your hands on these watches, without waiting for years – it is time to go full circle and to give an end to the speculation story… And that means looking at THE watch that actually started it all, the watch that, back in 1972, created the trend for luxury sports watches, so-to-say today’s hottest watch category; the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, of course. So here are the most sought-after Audemars Piguet watches in collection – all being Royal Oak models – and the reality of what you’ll need to pay if you want one, right now.?The 15202ST might not suffer the same insane premium as a 5711 but that doesn’t mean it will be easy to get one (and not cheap either)You must know the deal… Back in 1972, a man named Gerald Genta went to see a certain watch manufacture, part of the
Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra-Thin Automatic 5377 - Hands-on with live photos, specs and price - Monochrome-Watches
Recently, Breguet sent a reminder to the world: the manufacture had always been involved into innovation and will always be. This reminder came in early November 2014, as Breguet won the much cherished top prize at the?Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve, a.k.a. the GPHG, with a superb and truly modern watch, the Classique Chronometrie 7727. Another Breguet?was nominated?(in the tourbillon?category), a timepiece?that shares the same innovative spirit, the?Breguet Classique Tourbillon Extra-Thin Automatic 5377. We had the chance to get our hands-on with this stunning timepiece. This watch may be extremely classical design-wise, it has to be seen as the pure definition of a Breguet. The visuals are indeed typically Breguet – fluted case, engine-turned dial, soldered lugs or?open-tipped blued hands are here – and so is?the movement. Just keep in mind that some of the greatest inventions in watchmaking are due to Abraham Louis Breguet: the tourbillon, the first wristwatch in
Chopard L.U.C XPS Twist Qualite Fleurier Fairmined - Baselworld 2017 Hands-On (Specs & Price)
The classic elegance of L.U.C Chopard, with a contemporary twist and a hint of fair trade because yes, watchmaking can also take care of social development and environmental protection. Meet the Chopard L.U.C XPS Twist Qualite Fleurier Fairmined, a slender limited edition timepiece resonating a unique perception of elegance, powered by a superb micro-rotor movement and crafted in ethical pink gold. The Chopard L.U.C. XPS Twist is an alluring thin dress watch with a different twist. Its design resonates the L.U.C classic elegance, faithfully respecting its distinctive features. Yet the crown, unusually positioned at 4 o'clock, lends the watch its unique character. If this asymmetrical position of the crown is not new to Chopard as previous twist editions have been released, the comeback of the dial with unique swirled and deep engraved pattern is indeed a nice touch. There’s hardly a category of watches that is as disputed as the diver. Every year, in all price ranges and all possible styles, we’re seeing hundreds of new dive watches released by watchmakers from all over the world. Choosing the best models in this segment of the watch industry is not an easy task and is always subject to long internal discussions. But the MONOCHROME team has made it, and we’ve come to an agreement… Here are what we think were the 5 Best Dive Watches of 2024, ranging from accessible to high-end – and the funny thing is that both are closely related.?Blancpain Fifty Fathoms 42mm TitaniumThe Blancpain Fifty Fathoms is, without a doubt, one of the most important dive watches ever. Created back in the mid-1950s and one of the first purpose-built modern dive watches, it’s long been one of our favourites – but we had our reservations concerning recent collections. They were either too big or perfectly designed and proportioned but
