The Aquis Automatic 36.5 mm is the perfect watch for modern ladies who love to stay ahead of the game. It has a royal blue dial giving off a very confident vibe. The dial looks exquisite with bold luminous index hour markers and small printed markings for minutes. The case is silver stainless steel, but the bezel is jet black with Arabic numerals and indices. The rubber strap makes it decent in appearance and comfortable to wear.

Hands-On - Ollech & Wajs OW C-1000 (live pics & pricing)
Some names might not ring a bell with a broader audience. But for tool watch enthusiasts, the name Ollech & Wajs should be familiar evoking memories of the 1960s and 1970s when the company was manufacturing respected timing instruments for professionals. Dormant for several years, it took more than 10 years to convince Albert Wajs to pass on his brand and it has been revived recently. Today we take a closer look at the brand’s latest creation, a solid dive watch with retro-style, the Ollech & Wajs OW C-1000 S.BackgroundIn 1956, Albert Wajs and his friend Joseph Ollech formed a partnership and opened a watch shop in Zurich. At first, they distributed timepieces from Breitling and Omega but eventually decided to establish their own brand: OWZ, for Ollech & Wajs Zurich. Albert Wajs quickly realized that OWZ should specialize in the assembly of reliable and accurate mechanical watches. He favoured movements with solid reputations. In 1959, the first watches were launched,
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton Red - hands-on, price
Almost every time we write about Bvlgari, it’s breaking news about another impressive ultra-thin world record Octo Finissimo. Although it does belong to the iconic ultra-thin Octo Finissimo family and bears a lean manual-winding movement, the news today concerns a very effective colour update to an existing Octo Finissimo Skeleton model. Initially launched in 2016 in a black DLC-coated steel case with a pink gold bezel and a dramatically skeletonised movement, the Octo Finissimo Skeleton was revisited in 2018 in an all-black titanium case. The novelty for 2021 is the launch of this matte black ceramic Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Skeleton Red Limited Edition. As one of the most iconic watch designs on the scene today, the Octo fuses elements of classical Roman architecture with powerful avant-garde design. With the advent of the ultra-thin Octo Finissimo line in 2014, Bvlgari proved that slim profiles are not at odds with complex case constructions and all manner of complications. If yo
Hands-On - Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m America's Cup
Announced recently by Omega and covered in this news article here, the Biel-based brand has just announced the renewal of its role as the official timekeeper of the America's Cup, with the 36th edition to be held in Auckland, New Zealand, from the 6th to the 21st of March 2021. At the same time, Omega is also releasing a new limited edition watch to celebrate this partnership, a watch based on the rugged professionally oriented PO 600m with a very handsome colour scheme. Let’s have a closer look at this new Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m 36th America’s Cup, now in the metal.Omega and the America’s CupThe America's Cup is renowned as the oldest trophy in international sport and since 1851 is considered to be the most prestigious sailing race in the world. The concept goes that a trophy awarded to the winner of the America’s Cup match races between two sailing yachts. One yacht, known as the defender, represents the yacht club that currently holds the America’s
Baselworld 2015 also means another Edition of Schnitzel Dinner - lots of photos - Monochrome Watches
One of my personal highlights of the year is the annual schnitzel dinner, that is always on the Saturday during Baselworld. It’s a gathering of long-time friends and new friends in the watch industry and the idea is simple: schnitzel, beer, a good conversations. This dinner has been the platform for new collaborations, ?friendships and was the place where the Gronefeld’s received their Timezone Watch of the Year Award. This year’s conversation topics?of course covered the new Patek Calatrava Pilot Travel Time?–?we’ve yet have to meet someone who’s impartial towards it –?and much more. It was a blast again, or as some guests friends call it, the best evening of the fair. I won’t ramble on, here are the photos (including a properly awesome table shot.) Above are some wrist shot, and although what you see here doesn’t cover every watch that was presen
First Look: The New TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport Collection
This year, TAG Heuer is expanding its lineup by introducing a new collection, the Carrera Extreme Sport series with 6 different models, blending the brand’s legendary racing heritage with advanced materials and innovative design. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled the Carrera Chronograph x Porsche 963 in time for the 24h of Le Mans, paying tribute to the car competing in this iconic endurance race. This watch, a bold and modern interpretation of the racing chronograph, hinted at what would come. The new Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport collection builds on the openworked dial design, reminiscent of the ideas also seen in the Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 from 2015 and is a development of this bold, modular collection. Here's our early hands-on with these new watches, which are presented in various colours and made with high-end materials. The Carrera Chronograph Extreme SportThe TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport is housed in a robust 44mm case, 15.1mm thick, with a water-
