Baselworld 2018 - Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Steel 36mm / 40mm (specs & price)
While we’ve already introduced the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date in bronze with a 36mm case, there are other novelties regarding the Pointer Date that Oris is introducing at Baselworld 2018. Alongside the bronze edition, Oris will also release some steel versions of the Pointer Date watch, this time in?40mm and 36mm cases, as well as with steel bracelets or leather straps – and again with an unbeatable quality/price ratio. Overview. While the bronze version of the?Oris Big Crown Pointer Date will certainly be one of the main talking pieces for the brand at Baselworld 2018, there are also some more rational steel versions. This watch is based on a limited edition launched mid-2017 – the?Oris Big Crown Pointer Date D.26 286 HB-RAG – which reintroduced one of Oris’ most famous designs, the 1984 Pointer Date watch, which in turn was based on a 1938 design. New Colours For The Glashutte Original Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date
A far cry from the gravitas of the more classical Pano and Senator models, the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date is one of the most original and refreshing models from Glashutte Original. Launched in 2014, the Seventies Panorama Date captures the zeitgeist of that groovy decade with its square TV-shaped case and adoption of vibrant, funky dial colours. Two new limited-edition models with “Golden Bay and “Ocean Breeze” matte dial colours enhance this luxury sports watch collection with a sophisticated integrated flyback chronograph and the brand’s hallmark Panorama Date window. The more demure traditional colours of the first Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date Models eventually gave way to colours more in sync with the collection’s name and spirit. Donning bold, eye-popping colours, the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date took its first colour dip with gradient dials inspired by the nearby Elbe Sandstone Mountains before moving on to more psychedelic colo

Independent watchmaker Louis Moinet certainly has demonstrated a fair dosage of creativity over the year, with impressively complex and playful watches, but discretion and compactness were not the first words to come to mind when looking at these watches. Most Louis Moinet models were polarizing, to say the least. Well, until recently, as the brand has decided to take a new direction, with sharper, more compact, easier design with modernity and sleekness in mind. First exposed with the Memoris Spirit, this new design language is now transposed to the other signature watch of the watchmaker, resulting in the new Louis Moinet Tempograph Spirit. The Louis Moinet 20-Second Tempograph, with its complex and large case.Presented in 2014 under the name Louis Moinet 20-Second Tempograph, the watch we’re looking at today is not entirely new. All the habillage and the decoration, design of the movement have been deeply revised, but the original concept, as well as the surprising display, are

The model Tudor fans have been clamouring for finally materialises with the release of the Black Bay 58 GMT. Although the Black Bay collection is no stranger to dual time zone models – the first Tudor Black Bay GMT was introduced in 2018 – this is the first time the more compact 39mm Black Bay 58 earns its wings. Decked with an appealing neo-vintage flair, the two-toned burgundy and black bezel and gilt touches evoke the golden age of air travel in the 1950s when travelling across time zones was the ultimate sign of a glamorous lifestyle.Following the launch of the popular 41mm Black Bay series in 2012, Tudor introduced the Black Bay 58 in 2018. Appealing to a wider audience with its more compact 39mm diameter, the Black Bay 58 was closer in size to its forefather, the 37mm Tudor Submariner 7924 of 1958, the brand's first 200m water-resistant diver's watch, also known as the Big Crown'.
