A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Date // Video Review
It is often said that in watchmaking the entry-level complication – understand here any additional indication that isn’t the hours, minutes or seconds – is the date function. While this is true for most of the watches, when it comes to a masterpiece of engineering such as the A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk, adding a date was a veritable technical challenge. It offers the opportunity to enter the world of classic, timeless and elegant watches for a reasonable price and answers to a demand of timepieces made

Audemars Piguet's latest Royal Oak Offshore is the standard-bearer of a new generation of ROO models. Limited to 100 pieces, the new Royal Oak Offshore comes with the brand's interchangeable strap system for more versatility.Icons pose a problem for watch companies lucky enough to possess one. Audemars Piguet's iconic Royal Oak watch of 1972, the precursor of the luxury sports watch genre, is still one of the world's most coveted watches. In 1993, AP decided to push the bold personality of the Royal Oak into more contemporary terrain with the Royal Oak Offshore. Still displaying the essential family traits of the RO, the ROO was

It's a big year for the Portugieser over at IWC, the iconic watch that was launched in 1939 and has become a perennial favourite among watch lovers. Along with the unprecedented?Portugieser Automatic 40, there were two new Portugieser Automatic 42 models; one in steel and one Boutique Edition in 5N gold with a blue dial. Recently, we were lucky enough to have the Boutique Edition IW500713 for our hands-on session and here's what we found. Not only in boutiquesI have to admit that when I saw the Boutique Edition' suffix I figured that this rose gold model was a boutique-exclusive-limited-production deal. Well, I was wrong. Boutique Editions refer to models that combine rose gold cases and blue dials and are not limited in production. However, this doesn't mean that you have to trek out to an IWC Boutique to buy this particular model. You can view it online and then order it over the phone. I tested the procedure online and in seconds an assistant popped up, answered my questions and then

Presented in 2016, the Polo S is Piaget's take on the steel luxury watch. Infused with 1970s vibes, this versatile timepiece is evocative of the category's icons but also displays a clear lineage with the Piaget Emperador, one of the brand's most recognizable designs. For 2020, the collection welcomes an attractive version with green dial and rose gold indices, fitted with a steel bracelet.Besides the steel bracelet, the eye-catching green dial is the main novelty and attraction of this new iteration of the Piaget Polo S. Both original and subtle, this new dial is embossed with the signature striped pattern of the collection. The green surface stands out with beautiful changing colours and striking metallic reflections – thanks to the colour obtained by PVD coating.
