Bell & Ross BR-X1 Chronograph Pink Gold / Black Ceramic - Review (live pics & price) - Monochrome-Watches
This watch is important for Bell & Ross, not only in terms of sales (clearly, it’s not intended?to be their bestseller) but also – and maybe mainly – in terms of image, of perception?of the brand for both the potential clients and the competitors. It is like if “beware, we’re going to play on your field” was written in red capital letters on the dial. To whom this message is addressed? Well, to make it simple, Bell & Ross with this BR-X1 Chronograph is frontally attacking Audemars-Piguet with the Royal Oak Offshore and Hublot with the Big Bang?(and that’s the main target). Is this watch convincing enough? Does Bell & Ross have the right weapons to win the battle? That’s what we tried to find out by testing the?Bell & Ross BR-X1 Chronograph in the luxurious Pink Gold / Black Ceramic edition.Overall appearanceThere’s a clear upscale wish with this?Bell and Ross BR-X1. The case, the dial, the hands, the movement…
Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m GMT Goodplanet - REVIEW (Photos, Specs and Price) - Monochrome Watches
In 2005 Omega launched its Planet Ocean collection, a second collection of dive watches, positioned above the Seamaster Professional collection (the James Bond watch) and it has been a huge success since day one. The Seamaster Planet Ocean is available in two sizes, 42mm and 45.5mm, and in 2011 Omega introduced the Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph 9300, which we reviewed and photographed for you here. Two years later, in 2013, Omega introduced the long-expected Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT. We’re going to review the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m GMT Goodplanet for you today. The Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT, or short PO-GMT, is available in the known colour codes of the Planet Ocean, with a black dial and silver/white markers and hands. Only the tip of the GMT hand and the word GMT on the dial are in orange. There’s also a special model with a navy blue dial and bezel that is created as a tribute to the partnership between Omega and the GoodPlanet Foundation. And that̵
Introducing: The Innvoative Self-Regulation System of the Horage Revolution 3 MicroReg
Horage truly stands apart in the watch industry with its start-up mentality, forward-thinking approach, and capacity to explore unconventional methods. This young Swiss watchmaking company, based in Biel, boasts a remarkable level of vertical integration despite its size. Led by Tsuyu Huang, Andi Felsl, and their dedicated team, Horage has introduced a smart concept aimed at achieving unparalleled precision in watch regulation, but also superior user-friendliness. This innovative idea indeed allows watch owners to adjust the rate of their watches themselves, at home, without having to open the case and expose the movement. Meet the Horage “Quest to Zero” MicroReg.The quest for mechanical precision in watchmaking is a truly fascinating journey, rich in historical and scientific significance. From the early days of horology, when artisans meticulously honed their skills to create accurate timepieces, to the modern era of cutting-edge technology and innovation, this pursuit ha
Hands-on with the very original De Rijke & Co x Miffy Special Edition
The use of comic book characters or cartoon personalities in watchmaking isn’t new. However, we’ve recently seen a successful?revival of the classical Character Watches. Watches incorporating Mickey Mouse, Snoopy or Popeye have become very popular lately, and we can surely expect more to come in the future. Small-time Dutch independent watchmaker De Rijke & Co. now enters this humorous field of watchmaking with something very, very cool: Nijntje, or “Miffy” for non-Dutch people. This iconic little rabbit created by Dick Bruna is known the world over and now finds its way into a mechanical watch for the very first time. And we have the exclusive world premiere of this very fun and limited De Rijke & Co. x Miffy Moonphase.Dick Bruna & Nijntje/MiffyTo explain who or what Miffy is – for those who have no clue or need their memories refreshed – Miffy is a small rabbit-like character developed by Dick Bruna, perhaps the most famous Dutch graphi
Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5905P - hands-on review with live photos, specs & price - Monochrome-Watches
The end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 was?kind of loaded for Patek Philippe. The least we can say is that the manufacture came with lots of novelties. Back in October 2014, the brand was celebrating its 175th anniversary and they came with several superb watches, including the?Multi-Scale Chronograph and the totally mind-blowing GrandMaster Chime. Thus, we could have expect Baselworld 2015 to be quiet. Wrong! Patek just surprised us with a properly unexpected watch, the?Patek Philippe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time. However, they’re also coming back to basics, with a pure, clean but complicated watch, the?Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph Ref. 5905P.A bit of history – the annual calendar by Patek PhilippeThere are several types of calendars that can be added to a watch. The first one is simple, as it only shows?the date (that always displays 31 days per a month and that need to be corrected 5 times a year, for the months with 30 or 28 days). Then comes the complet
