The Submersible Collection by Panerai brings back the exquisite tradition of the brand's exploits in the deep sea. The design of this model was inspired by the timepieces created in 1956 by Officine Panerai, exclusively for the Egyptian Navy. This model is a contemporary take on the timeless classic with a robust 60mm case that offers extremely enhanced clarity and legibility, all with a simplistic approach to the design. The watch gives an aura of sophistication and elegance while maintaining the height of functionality, making it the ideal timepiece to accessorize your wrist with.

Video Review: The Supremely Elegant Chopard L.U.C 1860 Salmon Dial
Unveiled last year during Watches and Wonders, the Chopard L.U.C 1860 in Lucent Steel with a guilloche salmon dial is a watch that left quite an impression on us. But there’s more to this timepiece than its elegance, its compact dimensions or its combination of materials and colours – salmon over steel is, by far, one of our favourite combos here at MONOCHROME. It’s a watch with historical importance, both mechanically and design-wise, which is why we’ve elected this Chopard L.U.C for our latest video review.?Chopard, and specifically the L.U.C collection (named after the brand's founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard) is known for its handsome, elegant watches with impeccable execution. But more than anything, this collection launched in 1996 has secured the brand a position on the map of high-end watchmaking. With the L.U.C Collection, Chopard became part of the elite of Geneva-based Haute Horlogerie, together with some of the most respected brands of the region. And it
Chopard L.U.C Chrono One Flyback Steel // Review, Price
A smaller case, a more contemporary design and a chronometer-certified manufacture movement inside; there's a lot to like about the new monochromatic Chopard L.U.C Chrono One Flyback. Not to mention the fact that this model is offered in steel – albeit in a limited edition of only 250 pieces. Given that previous iterations have only been available in precious metals - and larger cases - I wouldn't be surprised if this new flyback chronograph proves to be quite popular. We had the opportunity to get some wrist time with it recently. Here's what we thought.?The Chopard L.U.C Chrono One FlybackYou may or may not recall the previous iterations of the L.U.C Chrono One Flyback. Here's some basic background to provide a basis for comparison. As I mentioned before, those models were exclusively available in precious metals, such as rose or pink gold and offered more traditional styling. Think Roman numeral dials, two-tone colour schemes and 44mm cases. Very nice watches but a bit strong
First Look: The New Louis Erard Regulateur x Cedric Johner
Louis Erard has developed a close working relationship with contemporary artists, watchmakers, artisans, and designers to position itself as one of the most exciting and original brands on the watchmaking scene. To bring the delights of high-end watchmaking to a broader audience, Louis Erard sticks to its policy of accessible prices. What other brand can offer a lineup of watches created in collaboration with big names like Alain Silberstein, Konstantin Chaykin or Vianney Halter, or for that matter, create artistic handmade marquetry or guilloche dials at reasonable prices? Today, the brand unveils its latest collaboration piece forged with yet another independent watchmaker, the Louis Erard Regulateur x Cedric Johner.Just 15, Cedric Johner apprenticed as a jeweller at Chopard's Geneva workshop and then studied watchmaking before embarking on a solo career. Determined to make as many components as possible in his atelier, his unique pieces are crafted using traditional tools and often
The Laine x CronotempVs "Silver Spur" Collectors Edition - Monochrome Watches
We've recently covered the gorgeous Laine Watches V38 by Switzerland-based Finnish watchmaker Torsti Laine. And lo and behold, two weeks later, a press release about a unique collaboration project lands in our inbox. The CronotempVs Collectors, an online watch collecting community focusing on very limited watch projects, joins forces with Torsti Laine and introduces the Silver Spur. With 16 projects under its belt since it was founded in 2009, CronotempVs Collectors have a dedicated following that gets a say in each project. Past projects include collaborations with Urwerk, Habring2, Ressence and Chopard. It won’t come as a surprise for those familiar with Torsti Laine's work, but this unique collaboration piece is another stunning-looking watch. Laine Watches currently offers four different models, three of which are based on the Gelidus concept, and one is the Laine Watches V38, which we covered only weeks ago. The Gelidus range, which translates to Ice Cold or Frosty in Latin, c
