The Panerai Luminor GMT 44mm is a great stainless steel watch fitted on a blue alligator strap. It features a similar blue sun-brushed dial with luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers. The date window is located at three o'clock, and a small seconds dial at nine o'clock. It also has a power reserve indicator at the back, which is quite an exciting feature for collectors. It is a great watch that is well suited for formal and casual occasions.

SIHH 2018 - Wilhelm Schmid of A. Lange & Sohne, On The New Collection - Monochrome Watches
As with every year it seems, A. Lange & Sohne's creations are once again the talk of SIHH. Last year, it was the mega Tourbograph Perpetual Pour le Merite (read our hands-on review here.) This year it's the incredible Triple Split, a truly unique complication that enables you record two separate times of up to twelve hours each! On a more sombre note, this year also marks the one year anniversary of the passing of Mr. Walter Lange (1924-2017), the founder of the modern-day A. Lange & Sohne. We spent some time with A. Lange & Sohne's CEO, Mr. Wilhelm Schmid, to learn more about this year's novelties and how the brand is paying tribute to its late founder.?As Mr. Schmid so eloquently explains in the video above, the focus for Lange this year is two-fold. The first point is to pay tribute to their late founder and beloved industry icon, Mr. Walter Lange. To this end, the Saxon manufacture is enlarging its 1815 collection with the 1815 Homage to Walter Lange, comprised of three
Retrospective - All the Record-Breaking Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Models
It’s been seven years in the making so far, but we're pretty sure it won’t end where it is right now. This year marked the seventh record-breaking release by Bvlgari, with the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar, the world's thinnest QP. But where did it actually start? We take a little trip down memory lane and go through all the groundbreaking, record-setting models, from the very first down to the lastest.Ultra-thin watchmaking is a complication in itself, especially when it comes to the marginal sizes we're talking about. Several brands are renowned for their work in the field of ultra-thin watches. Piaget, Jaeger LeCoultre and Audemars Piguet for instance, all have a long-standing relationship with the concept of trying to build the slimmest possible?watches. Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Automatic & Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control - hands-on with live photos & price - Monochrome-Watches
Since 1988, Chopard is the?official timekeeper and sponsor of the Mille Miglia,?an open-road endurance race which took place in Italy and that?has been reborn as a race for classic and vintage cars since 1977. To celebrate this partnership, Chopard?has created a collection of watches that became the brand’s sports watches range. For Baselworld 2015, a new collections that includes the?Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Automatic & Chopard Mille Miglia GTS Power Control had been launched, with in-house movements that clearly identify Chopard as a strong actor of the industry.Mille Miglia watches by Chopard had always been inspired by racing cars, as they were fitted with visual elements reminding of this context: a rubber strap with a tyre pattern, bright colors reminiscent of racing cars' livery and displays?inspired by dashboards. However, elegance and technical attraction was?not always present in these watches and the comparison with the rest of the collection, including the superb
IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition Blue Angels IW389008 / Hands-On, Price
There are few brands as specialized in pilot’s watches as IWC… The brand has a long and rich pedigree in this field and, since the comeback of the collection in the mid-1990s with the Ref. 3711 and Ref. 3706, IWC has collaborated with some of the greatest squadrons and special forces – including Top Gun. Recently, the Schaffhausen-based brand?has become an official licensee of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron “Blue Angels”… And here is the result of this collaboration, the new IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition “Blue Angels”. The Blue Angels SquadronThe “Blue Angels” is the U.S. Navy’s flight demonstration squadron. It was initially formed in 1946, making it the second oldest formal aerobatic team – after the French?Patrouille de France?(formed 1931). As other demonstration squadrons, its role is to perform aerial displays and to demonstrate U.S. Navy’s skills throug
The Collector's Series: Rob & His Stunning Lederer Central Impulse Chronometer
For the latest instalment of the Collector's Series, we meet with Rob. He runs a software company that he founded in Seattle, Washington, thirty years ago, called Inteum. Inteum develops software for managing intellectual property and innovations and has customers around the world in 34 countries at the last count. As he explains, “One of these customers is CSEM (Centre Suisse d’Electronique et de Microtechnique SA). So you see, there's a first link to my fascination with the world of horology. But I am drawn to engineered works of all kinds that exhibit brilliance and aesthetics.“?For MONOCHROME, Rob wishes to highlight the Lederer Central Impulse Chronometer or CIC. The root of appeal for me is the exceptional movement design and passion of Mr Lederer, and his vision, which to my thinking, is both traditional and eccentric.?He took on a challenge that few would accept and produced a watch imbued with technical brilliance matched with aesthetics par excellence.?Just
