The Luminor 1950 3 Day Automatic GMT by Panerai is a great men's watch. It features a stainless tone steel case with a brown alligator leather strap and a fixed steel bezel. The black dial with luminous hand and stick hour markers make it stand out along with its automatic movement. It has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass and a fluted crown. Sometimes it’s immediately obvious when?I see a photo, that it is a perfect Weekly Watch Photo. This week impressive macro photos of?the equally impressive movement of the A Lange und Sohne Double Split. I was doing some catching up at the?A. Lange und Sohne forum on Timezone, when I stumbled across this photo. Or actually I should say these photos in plural. Member Andreas Eck made a series of macro photos of the movement of the Lange und Sohne Double Split. Some say it is?perhaps the most beautiful movement in the world… Ad - Scroll to continue with article The photo above is the first of a set of 18 photo, of which every next photo is getting closer and closer to the gears, in gold chaton set jewels, the perfect hand beveled levers and blued screws. A mimiature artwork. The photo below is number 6 of the set, so they get ever more close.Check out?A
TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Full Black Matt Ceramic (Specs & Price)
As most watch lovers will?know, in a few days the first major watch event of the year?– SIHH 2017 – will open its doors.?On the sidelines of this massive event, some other brands (which traditionally exhibit at Baselworld), are also benefiting from the large crowd of?journalists, collectors and retailers that the SIHH draws to Geneva each year. One such brand?is not what you would?call small: TAG?Heuer. To kick off?the festivities of the Geneva Watch Fair 2017 (Hublot and Zenith, also part of the LVMH?group, will exhibit?there too), here is the first novelty introduced, the?TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Full Black Matt Ceramic. The TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 made its debut?two years ago at Baselworld 2015 and has since become?the signature chronograph model from the TAG Heuer manufacture – yes, this watch actually features a movement produced directly by TAG. IWC Portugieser Automatic 42 Boutique Edition - Monochrome Watches
It's a big year for the Portugieser over at IWC, the iconic watch that was launched in 1939 and has become a perennial favourite among watch lovers. Along with the unprecedented?Portugieser Automatic 40, there were two new Portugieser Automatic 42 models; one in steel and one Boutique Edition in 5N gold with a blue dial. Recently, we were lucky enough to have the Boutique Edition IW500713 for our hands-on session and here's what we found. Not only in boutiquesI have to admit that when I saw the Boutique Edition' suffix I figured that this rose gold model was a boutique-exclusive-limited-production deal. Well, I was wrong. Boutique Editions refer to models that combine rose gold cases and blue dials and are not limited in production. However, this doesn't mean that you have to trek out to an IWC Boutique to buy this particular model. You can view it online and then order it over the phone. I tested the procedure online and in seconds an assistant popped up, answered my questions and then
Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue Reviewed - Monochrome Watches
This year at Baselworld the Monochrome Team visited Tudor for the first time. That might just have something to do with the introduction of Tudor on American soil. Finally Tudor is available for US customers! Over the past few years Tudor has been building a new collection, that has deep roots in their own heritage. A very rich heritage that is not solely based on tool watches, although we’re going to have a look at one of the most legendary Tudor watches and its newest reissue: the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue. When we entered the Tudor booth something really amazing happened…I guess I walked in first, met with someone from the Tudor team, and after a glimpse on her wrist I grabbed her hand and was immediately impressed by the watch she was wearing. Funny thing is that pretty much everyone that came in after me, did more or less the same! In all my years visiting many, many brands at Baselworld I have never witnessed something like that. The watch that several people from th
Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Split-Seconds Chrono
In 2015, with the presentation of the reference 57260, Vacheron Constantin sent a message to the watchmaking industry by stealing the title of the ‘most complicated watch’ from Patek Philippe. Today, Vacheron Constantin introduces its most complicated wristwatch to date, officially fitted with 24 complications – a response to Patek’s GrandMaster Chime with 20 complications? Of course, it would be hard to state that one watch is better or more complex than the other; one complication does not necessarily equal another complication, and to be honest, it does not really matter But still, the introduction of such a complex watch marks an exciting moment in watchmaking.?The creation of such complex timepieces, with multiple functions and displays, is always an event in itself and an authentic challenge that only a very exclusive group of brands is capable of undertaking. The Vacheron Constantin Grand Complication Split-Seconds Chronograph – Tempo is a beast of
