Hands-On - The New Omega De Ville Tresor Power Reserve (Price)
Omega unveils the first in a line of new De Ville Tresor men's watches for 2021. Previously available in three-hand & date configurations, the new 18k yellow gold Tresor model features a power reserve indicator at noon counterbalanced by a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock. Louis Erard Excellence Regulator Gradient Dials // Hands-On, Price
Louis Erard's Excellence collection is populated with regulators, a historic display that had fallen into disuse but that is becoming more and more prevalent in watchmaking today. Usually reinterpreted in classic design codes, Louis Erard is determined to show the regulator in a new light and has invited external designers to jazz things up. We've already seen Alain Silberstein's zany colourful Bauhaus take on the regulator and Eric Giroud's sleek minimalist contribution. Now it's time for the more classic Excellence Regulator model to get a makeover with the incorporation of gradient dials in three on-trend colours: green, blue and grey.Regulator clocksAlthough regulator clocks gradually faded into disuse, they were originally developed in the mid-18th century as master clocks to offer the most accurate time readings available. SIHH 2014: Introducing the New Panerai Radiomir 1940 Chronograph - Monochrome Watches
SIHH 2014 is on fire and Officine Panerai is part of the game. The Italian brand just reveals a new series of vintage-inspired chronographs based on a wonderful Minerva movement. The Radiomir 1940 Chronograph will be available in three versions, platinum (PAM00518), red gold (PAM00519) and white gold (PAM00520). A new limited edition to inflame the Paneristi's mind?Panerai's first chronograph was created in 1943. It was the famous (and now overpriced) Radiomir Mare Nostrum, developed for the Italian navy’s deck officers. In the light of this rich history, Panerai reveals a new vintage-inspired chronograph, part of the new Radiomir 1940 line. Based on a cushion-shaped case with lugs (not the wire loop strap attachments of the classical Radiomir) and without the crown protection of the Luminor models, this case shows the transition between the old Radiomir and the 1950's Luminor. Three versions, each in a limited edition of 100 pieces, will be available: PAM00518, platinum case wit
