The A. Lange & Sohne Grand Complication marks the Beginning of a New Era for the Brand - Monochrome Watches
A Grand Complication is, exactly as the name indicates, a GRAND complication. Not many brands can say that they have a Grand Complication in the collection and when counting there are really just a few of the oldest and most admirable watch brands that do. Of course there are the three ‘Grande Dames’ of the Haute Horlogerie, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet. Also brands like Blancpain, Breguet, IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre are among the few who have at least one Grand Complication in the collection. Since this year, A. Lange & Sohne introduced their first Grand Complication that is also the most complicated German watch ever created. Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 41mm 15500 Silver Dial (Price)
The watch that launched the luxury sports watch category and kept Audemars Piguet afloat through thick and thin since 1972 was fittingly named after a 1916 Royal Navy battleship, the HMS Royal Oak. The Ref. 15500, a 41mm model of the RO with an upgraded in-house movement was introduced in 2019 and designed to replace the former Ref. 15400 that had been around since 2012. Offered with blue, grey and black dials, the latest iteration of Ref. 15000 now comes with a classic silver-toned dial. Hands-On - Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020 Paneristi 20th Anniversary
The collecting community has always been drawn to vintage sports watches. However, when it comes to Panerai, we’re talking about one of the most active and authoritative web communities existing. They even have a name – the Paneristi – and a website dedicated to their passion – paneristi.com. Active, passionate owners who can also be quite critical… Tough love, they say. This community is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and, as a tribute to them, Panerai thought it would be nice to treat them to something they’d like. So here’s the Panerai Radiomir Venti PAM02020, made especially to mark the 20 years of Paneristi.com.As you can imagine, this watch couldn’t only be an internal project. The community had to be invited into the creation process in order for the watch not only to make sense, but also to please the Paneristi. The PAM02020 “Venti” (Italian for twenty) is the result of a joint creation process between the
