Luxury Watches |
This is another one Seiko's stunning watches. It is a part of their Perspex collection and is one of the most perfectly executed watches of all time. There has been much attention paid to even the tiniest detail to give such an excellent result. The model features a stunning blue dial with silver hands and hour markers. The date window is located at the 3'o clock position. Furthermore, the case is made of stainless steel.

Hands-on with the new Audemars Piguet Royal Oak QP Ultra-Thin
If anything has become clear when reviewing all the novelties presented by Audemars Piguet earlier this month, it is the simple fact that it has gone all-in in terms of complexity. Sure, there are some new time-and-date models for the Royal Oak and the Code 11.59 collections, but (ultra)complicated watchmaking by AP is in the spotlight this year. Not only did we get to see the most complex wristwatch Audemars Piguet has ever made, but others impressed us with their sheer mechanical prowess. One such watch is the newest version of the once-thinnest QP wristwatch in the world, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin 41mm. And although it has been bested since it was first released in 2019, it is still a mighty watch to behold and handle, and one of our favourite watches from AP for various reasons.Although ultra-thin watchmaking is technically not a complication in itself, as it doesn’t do anything extra for a watch other than cut down height, we con
Old school - Glashutte Original Sport Chronograph - Monochrome Watches
It is safe to say that in the 1990's the Swiss had the monopoly when it came to high-end sport chronographs with a manufacture movement. However, that was about to change, at least a little bit, when Glashutte Original introduced their Sport Chronograph, proudly made in Germany!Glashutte Original shared much of the same faith as Lange & Sohne and Muhle. After WWII they where hidden from the eye of the world behind the Iron Curtain, making watches (if any at all) that where solid but could hardly live up to the? capitalistic glory these companies once knew. The fall of the Berlin Wall brought them back to life and former glory. Glashutte Original originates from the VEB Glashutter Uhrenbetriebe, often better known as GUB (Glashutter Uhrenbetriebe), which was the result of a large merger in 1951 that included basically all the watch related industry in Glashutte. In 1990 this became Glashutter Uhrenbetrieb GmbH that in 1994 was purchased by Heinz W. Pfeifer and in 2000 joined the Swa
Introducing the De Bethune DB27 Digitale Polo Edition, in Hardened Steel (specs & price) - Monochrome-Watches
When it comes to watches dedicated to the selective and rigorous sport?that is Polo, The first that would ?probably spring to mind is the iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso (created in 1931 especially for Polo players). However, when De Bethune comes with the idea of partnering with the Princely Polo Cup, the needs are clear: creating a watch that can withstand the violent impacts it is liable to sustain on the wrist of the rider wearing it, without losing the?legibility and the DNA of the brand. The solution is now alive, in the name of the?De Bethune DB27 Digitale Polo Edition, with its extremely resistant stainless steel case.Usually, watches dedicated to Polo feature a protective cover or a rotating case (like on the JLC Reverso), in order to prevent any damages on the dial and hands – take a look at a Polo game and you’ll understand the violence of such a sport. However, this solution prevent the wearer from taking?a look at his watch and thus, to look at the time…
Baselworld 2018 - Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Bronze 36mm (Specs & Price)
It is not the first time that Oris uses bronze to craft its watch cases. We’ve seen it twice already on the highly coveted Carl Brashear editions – both the three-hander and the chronograph. Yet, for Baselworld 2018, the brand will make this material standard, as one of its timepieces, the very nice?Big Crown Pointer Date will be offered in bronze in a non-limited edition. And that’s not the only good news… Think smaller diameter! Meet the?Oris Big Crown Pointer Date Bronze 36mm.Six months ago, Oris re-introduced one of its most iconic timepieces, the Pointer Date, with the?D.26 286 HB-RAG Limited Edition. As is often the case with Oris, this limited edition signalled?its return as a regular production piece.? What we didn’t expect was this to be a bronze, 36mm watch. The Oris Big Crown Pointer Date?is a classic among Oris classics.? First launched in 1984, it was based on an Oris watch from 1938 with its hallmark calendar pointer, a feature that has?becom
Introducing A New Take On The Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton
The Rado Captain Cook collection is a skilful blend of retro vibes and high-tech materials. Ok, it’s also available in more conventional stainless steel or bronze but the high-tech ceramic models will always be a bit extra special. It displays Rado’s industry-leading know-how of the material and the brand’s ability to apply it to any style of watch. Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen many interesting and cool combinations of colour and even skeleton models. Continuing from last year’s Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton Limited Edition, Rado adds a new non-limited ‘gunmetal’ grey and gold-coloured model to the collection.Rado is a master when it comes to ceramic applications in watches, and it shows in the high-tech ceramic case for this Captain Cook, finished in a cool dark grey colour. This innovative material is extremely resilient to scratches and has a cold, tactile feel to it. The case is topped with a rose gold PVD-coated beze
