The Seiko Prospex is an excellent choice for a diver's watch. The dial of this timepiece is blue. It is set with luminescent index markers and hands so that the time can easily be told in the dark as well. At the 3 o'clock mark a window showcases the day and the date. The stainless steel case is 45mm in diameter, and the bracelet is made from stainless steel as well. The watch is waterproof up to 200m.

Cartier launched Fine Watch Making iPad App - Monochrome Watches
Watch brands are slowly finding their way to the digital world and?almost every watch brand has a website. Some even found their way to Facebook and iPhone and iPad apps. Today the impressive iPad app of Cartier Fine Watchmaking. GEO, moderator of the Cartier forum @ Revolution Online,?wrote this about Cartier’s iPad App and I fully agree with him! Ad - Scroll to continue with article Yesterday I downloaded from the Apple iTunes App Store, Cartier’s Fine Watch Making iPad App. I have seen quite a few watch Apps by now and most of them were pretty boring or disappointing. Heads off for the makers of this App!It’s an extensive App, very tastefully designed, that contains all the Fine Watch Making models of 2010 and 2011. Illustrated with good photography and all the specs you would need and some models have videos as well. Since everything is
IWC Portugieser Chronograph 3716 Steel Bracelet - Video Review, Price
Today is the opening of Watches & Wonders Shanghai, a new watch fair dedicated to the Chinese market. While the main idea for exhibiting brands is to display the watches introduced in April, some of them have decided to benefit from this physical and digital space to launch some new models. One of these is IWC, which brings an update to what is certainly one of its most emblematic models, the Portugieser Chronograph 3716, which comes for the first time on a stainless steel bracelet. And we have a video review of the watch above.BackgroundMinimalistic yet easily recognizable, well-designed and with a nautical sporty-chic vibe, the modern Portugieser finds its roots in the late 1930s following the request of two Portuguese merchants who wanted to have the precision of IWC's deck clocks in a wristwatch format for sailing. The result was a large wristwatch powered by a pocket watch movement with a distinctive design and a minimalist approach focused on legibility and precision.?The pre
Watches and Charity: the IWC Ingenieur Automatic Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation - Monochrome Watches
This is a bit of a personal story. I can’t imagine that it’ll come as a surprise that I have a thing for watches, to be specific, very fine hand-made and hand-finished watches. What might come as a surprise is that I also have a thing for the combination of fine watches and charity. IWC, the brand from Schaffhausen, has a long-term commitment with the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation and that leads us to their latest timepiece dedicated to this collaboration: the IWC Ingenieur Automatic Edition Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. This year’s edition is already the ninth for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. We covered previous versions like last year’s?Portuguese Chronograph Classic Laureus, or the Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph Laureus from 2013. For the 2015 edition, IWC choose the Ingenieur Automatic, a very nice sports watch that we extensively reviewed for you. In all honesty, this version with ‘Laureus blue’ dial could well be the nicest
The Auction Hammer: OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M "Golf" Signed by Rory McIlroy - Monochrome Watches
While we’ve been showing you many of the unique piece for Only Watch 2013, Omega and golf player Rory McIlroy give you the chance to bid (and win) a unique version of the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M “Golf”. This auction is much different from what you’re probably used to, because everyone can email their highest bid to [email protected] until 6 p.m. (EDT) on 17 August. The starting bid is set at $ 5,500 USD which is on par – pun intended – with the normal list price.Last year, Omega introduced the Aqua Terra 150M “Golf”. This is a standard 41 mm Aqua Terra 150M with the in-house caliber 8500, however now with a few green elements on the dial. The minutes in the minute track are printed in “golf green” as well as the model name “Seamaster” on the dial. Whether you want it for playing golf or simply because you like the green on the dial, it’s an attractive timepiece with Omega’s in-house movement.
Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph - The Minerva Style Made Accessible (SIHH 2018) - Monochrome Watches
Looking at recent collections by Montblanc, one series of watches clearly created a strong interest amongst the collecting community. You guessed it; the Minerva-inspired Montblanc 1858 Chronograph Tachymetre and its superb (to say the least) hand-wound Monopusher movement. One not-so-superfluous problem though with these watches… Their prices. Well, if you like the Military- and vintage-inspired Minerva chronographs and if you have a normal budget, MB has the solution at the SIHH 2018: the?Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph. The?Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph (left) next to a 1930s Minerva Chronograph (right) Ad - Scroll to continue with article The recipe is simple and well-known… but it works. Take most of the design elements of the 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter watches, meaning a military/pilot-style chronograph with cathedral hands, 1930s o
