The Seiko Prospex Land SBEJ001 is created with a strong stainless steel bracelet and casing that not only add durability but also contribute to the looks. With this, a gorgeous black center dial is there which is marked with distinguished markings and arrow hour markers to increase the beauty further. In addition, the watch has a nice tachymeter bezel surrounding the dial. Hence, every part contributes to the gorgeousness in their own unique way.

Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Chronograph // Review, Specs, Price
Earlier this year, at the Swatch Group's independent Time to Move event, Omega introduced a chronograph version of its successful Seamaster Diver 300M. Equipped with all the design upgrades conferred on the standard three-hand model in 2018, the performance of James Bond's watch was notched up with a chronograph complication. Although the movement - Calibre 9900 – is not brand new, it features all the goodies that the Master Chronometer certificate demands. Taking advantage of the fact that this watch is now in stores, we thought we'd take another look at this dark and handsome model. IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT THE RIGHT TIMENo brand can hold a candle to Omega's remarkable history. From purveyor of watches to British armed forces in WWII to accompanying astronauts to the surface of the Moon in 1969, from the rigours and prestige of Olympic timing to the deepest dive ever recorded, Omega has timed many of the most important human achievements of the 20th and 21st
Introducing The Petermann Bedat Reference 2941 Split-Seconds (Live Pics)
Ga?l Petermann and Florian Bedat created their independent watchmaking brand in 2017. In 2020, the dynamic duo of talented young watchmakers received a well-deserved industry accolade, taking home the Horological Revelation Prize at the prestigious GPHG for their superbly crafted 1967 Deadbeat Seconds. Petermann Bedat now moves one step further into complexity and high-end watchmaking with a magnificent monopusher split-seconds chronograph with a jumping minute counter. Meet the Petermann Bedat Reference 2941.If the 1967 Deadbeat Seconds was already fairly complex, Ga?l Petermann and Florian Bedat have not chosen an easy road for their second movement. The rattrapante (or split-seconds) chronograph is widely considered to be one of the most elaborate and difficult to produce complications in mechanical watchmaking. Rattrapante chronographs feature two superimposed seconds hands that time two events of different lengths simultaneously. One hand (the rattrapante) can be stopped to read a
Buying Guide: Six Fascinating Tourbillon Watches
One of my most memorable experiences when tumbling down the mechanical watchmaking rabbit hole is handling my very first tourbillon watch. I had already been writing for MONOCHROME for a while when it happened, and I knew about the complication and its function, but I had never handled one in person. It was at the SIHH 2014 that I happened to spot a stainless steel prototype of the Audemars Piquet Royal Oak 40th Anniversary Skeleton Tourbillon (ultimately done in platinum only). The experience of seeing one in action was absolutely mesmerizing to me, and I thought it would be fun to revisit the complication ten years on from that very moment. So with that little trip down memory lane in mind, here’s my personal selection of six of the most fascinating tourbillon watches I’ve recently come across.Chopard L.U.C. 1860 Flying TourbillonThe Chopard L.U.C. 1860 line is home to some of the finest dress watches on the market, with micro-rotor movements derived from the iconic Calib
Introducing: The 2024 Kurono 34mm Calligra Special Project
The brainchild of Japanese independent watchmaker Hajime Asaoka, known for his high-end tourbillons or chronographs, Kurono Tokyo is the man’s vision of a more accessible brand. Still driven by an almost obsessive attention to detail, which somehow explains the low availability of these watches, Asaoka is here focussing on design more than watchmaking. Following the 2022 series of Art Deco watches, and the 2023 Sector Dial models, Kurono Tokoy’s 34mm timepiece is back with the Calligra Special Project and its dial with hand-designed Breguet numerals.“For this new 34mm series, I have adopted Breguet hour markers. Generally, it is very difficult to place and balance Arabic numerals in a circular pattern as indices, because they were originally meant to be placed in a straight horizontal line. but Breguet indices seem to have been designed from the beginning to be placed in a circular pattern on the dial of a watch,” explains Hajime Asaoka. Hands-On: The "Albino-Like" Tudor Black Bay GMT Opaline Dial
The difference a dial can make… We’ve said it countless times, but a simple change of dial colour can truly transform a watch. And the new opaline silvery-white dial of the Black Bay GMT introduced earlier this year at Watches & Wonders is there to make a point. For several years, this watch has been, at least in my books, too close to what was doing with its Pepsi GMT-Master II. But Tudor is in its emancipation period. The teenager is turning into an adult and takes his own decisions. While this new white dial makes the Black Bay GMT stand independently, what truly matters is the vibe, the non-official inspiration… Because what you’re looking at is an evocation of an elusive, mythical, maybe questionable but truly desirable watch, the so-called Albino GMT…?There’s a new dial on the Tudor Black Bay GMT. I know, many can argue that it isn’t a big deal. Objectively, this is the exact same watch as before, just in a new colour. In most insta
