The F.P. Journe Repetition Souveraine (Specs & Price)
When it comes to high-end complications, the Grande Sonnerie is king, and his successor is the princely Minute Repeater. When it comes to ingenious interpretations of these complications, Fran?ois-Paul Journe is the man of the hour. Six years in the making and protected by ten patents, F.P. Journe's 2005 chiming masterpiece, the Sonnerie Souveraine, doubled the complication factor by combining a Grande and Petite Sonnerie. Three years later, in 2008, F.P. Journe came out with his Repetition Souverain, the world's thinnest minute repeater watch at that time. Given its complexity and limited production, this rara avis is rarely spotted in the wild. Luckily, we were able to handle and photograph a Repetition Souveraine for this review.Time on demandBefore the advent of artificial light, most people relied on church bells or striking clocks to tell the time in the dark. According to historical records, the first clock to strike the quarter-hour on demand appeared in England, circa 1675. Th

By juxtaposing different shapes (typical Hermes) and playing with different finishings and textures, the Hermes H08 reveals its fluid, sensual architecture. Previously offered in titanium and black graphene cases, the latest H08 ups the luxury factor with its sleek two-tone rose gold and black DLC-treated titanium case. Hermes, originally a saddle and harness atelier founded by Thierry Hermes in 1837, has become one of France's iconic luxury Maisons. Rather than pursue a conservative, conventional approach to luxury, Hermes has cultivated a unique design ethos for all its product lines that gives the Maison its distinctive personality. From silk scarves to Kelly bags and porcelain dinner sets, you can always feel the hand of the designer behind its beautiful creations. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Roger Dubuis adds colored stones to the Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon - Monochrome Watches
What do we know about Roger Dubuis? Well, to make it short, Roger Dubuis is a proper?manufacture of Haute Horlogerie, creating extremely refined skeleton movements, and being the only brand to have its entire production stamped with the Hallmark of Geneva (and that alone must already give an indication of the beauty of the production…). Roger Dubuis is also a combination of complex mechanisms with a unique design, bold, sporty and clearly recognizable. Well, all of that can be seen in the latest addition to the catalogue, the?Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon, which now receive colored stones incrusted in its rubber bezel. The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon is not?a new watch and its movement (by the way a properly magnificent movement, as we’ve seen here) has been seen already in several watches.
