The week always starts with a Weekly Watch Photo here at Monochrome Watches. The photos of this week are provided by German watch manufacture A. Lange & Sohne and they have created a set of brilliant photos… again! It is of course no surprise to you, that we just love the watches from A. Lange & Sohne. For their stylish classic looks, for the beautiful movements with three-quarter plate, for the brilliant finishing and for some of the most remarkable innovative timepieces of the last 15 years. So let’s enjoy the beauty of three of their latest timepieces in a befitting setting. The photo above show the 1815 Rattrapante Perpetual Calender that was introduced in January of this year. The watch is placed on a 1919 Horch four-cylinder engine (14/40 HP). I have to admit that I never heard of Horch, but after reading this article at Wikipedia, it’s become clear that Horch is the predecessor of what we know know as Audi. This name is actually based on the surname of t
Introducing: A Gradient Turquoise Dial For the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m
It has become a pretty recurring thing for Omega to release new models, or at least new editions of existing watches, with very little or no fanfare. While this has happened in the Planet Ocean and Speedmaster collections, it’s mostly the Aqua Terra family that sees these discreet releases dropping regularly. Following the addition of a green dial to the 38mm AT and an array of Moonshine Gold models earlier this year, it’s time for the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m Shades?to bring an unprecedented colour to its already extensive range, with a new gradient turquoise option for both the 41mm and 38mm versions. While looking fresh and new, these new editions are based on the Shades version of the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m. As a reminder, this sub-collection is slightly different from the traditional Aqua Terra, which we’ve come to know with its brushed and polished case, sporty bracelet or rubber strap and signature teak-like textured dial. The Shades sub-collection is more c

Founded in 1888, Bucherer is one of the oldest houses specializing in watches and jewellery. The world's largest retailer continues its expansion strategy. Following the acquisition of The Watch Gallery, Tourneau and Baron and Leeds, Bucherer launches its “Certified Pre-Owned” (CPO) program. On the occasion of the opening of their dedicated space at the Bucherer Gallery in Geneva, we were able to chat with their Chief Commercial Officer Patrick Graf about this ambitious program as well as other key strategic moves.CPO is the next big thing in the watch industry Why did Bucherer decide to enter this market? With the acquisition of Tourneau, we got a foot into the Certified Pre-Owned business. At that point, we became one of the most important CPO players in the USA. We had CPO on our radar, and somehow it is a bit surprising that the industry took so long, from a retail perspective, to pay more attention to the Certified Pre-Owned business. Specifically, if you compare it to

Weekly Watch Photo - Vacheron Constantin Wristshots from the Hour Lounge - Monochrome Watches
Another week, another Weekly Watch Photo here at Monochrome. A while ago Alex Ghotbi, community manager of Vacheron Constantin’s “in-house” forum, started the Friday “what’s on your wrist” post by showing the Overseas Chronograph with blue dial (click here for our hands-on report) on his wrist. I liked that photo a lot and yesterday I browsed through the Hour Lounge to search for more beautiful wrist shots of the Overseas Chrono and ended up with some entirely different photos. While I was actually searching for photos of the sporty and casual Overseas, I saw a photo of the Historique American 1921 and I like this model so much. The search went on, but I noticed that my focus was changed and thus I selected other photos, not of the sports watch that the Overseas is, but photos of stylish, refined and even elegant dress watches. No wonder, actually, because that’s exactly what we can expect from Vacheron Constantin. Together with Patek Philippe a
