Luxury Watches |
Tag Heuer Aquaracer stainless steel watch is one extremely classic looking watch with a finely brushed steel bracelet. It comes with a uni-directional bezel and a sapphire crystal glass on top that keeps it scratch proof. The steel screw-in crown is polished, and this watch has water resistant abilities; moreover, with a date window present at the 3 o'clock position and luminescent index markers, this watch is no doubt exceptional.

Inside Dubois-Depraz, Module Specialist, And Their New Integrated Chronograph - Technical Perspective
Operating somewhat anonymously within the watch industry, this company keeps its impressive client list confidential. Yet, if you are into watches, there's a good chance the name Dubois-Depraz will be familiar. That's because it is one of the most prominent suppliers in the industry. The company has made a name for itself manufacturing parts and additional mechanisms (in particular chronographs and perpetual calendars) for some of the world's most famous watch brands. Today, we take a closer look at this company – and a peek at its first integrated chronograph movement. An Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore, featuring a modular movement with a Dubois-Depraz Chronograph module on top.Modules…There are essentially two ways of getting a complication into a watch. It can be an integrated construction or it can be a modular construction. With an integrated construction, the different functions are incorporated within the movement architecture. With a modular construction, the add
Introducing the Arnold & Son Longitude Titanium Sports-Integrated Collection
No brand, it seems, is immune to the allure of the luxury sports watch, sporty-chic watches with integrated bracelets. The latest brand to dip its toe into the highly infested luxury sports watch waters is Arnold & Son, which introduces its first integrated sports watch at Watches and Wonders 2024. Christened the Longitude in honour of John Arnold’s historical marine chronometers, the layout of the first model echoes these historical pieces with its power reserve display at noon and small seconds at 6 o’clock. Not only does the layout evoke the marine chronometers of its famous ancestor, but the new automatic movement is a COSC-certified chronometer. While luxury sports watches have long been the domain of high-end watch brands, – with the Royal Oak, the Nautilus and the Overseas or VC 222, and the Laureato being the main names to come to mind – many high-end independent watchmakers have taken on the challenge – names like Czapek with its Antarctique, L
Hands-On - IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 Bronze IW388109
A classic among the collection of Pilot’s Watches, almost as important as the Big Pilot (in fact, it’s a chronograph that relaunched the pilot range at IWC), the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph is the collection’s cornerstone. A staple for the brand, which has produced such a model since the mid-1990s. For long an oversized watch with a 43mm case and Valjoux-based movement, it was revamped in 2021 with the introduction of a smaller case and a manufacture movement. Following the classic steel editions and a Ceratanium model, the brand once again demonstrates its focus on materials with this new IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Bronze IW388109, combining warm colours for the case and dial.?The current IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 is the direct descendant of two significant watches: the mid-1990s references 3711 Doppelchronograph and the 3705, the classic chronograph housed in a ceramic case (and its steel counterpart, the 3706). These two watches were th
Event Recap: An Exclusive Evening with the Montblanc SIHH 2015 Novelties - Monochrome Watches
Two weeks ago, shortly before we launched our newly designed website, Monochrome had the unique opportunity to invite our readers to an exclusive event that usually is never open to the public. The responses were overwhelming, and the event, called Montblanc’s Black & White Weeks, was, as they say, a big success. The beautiful event room in the Amsterdam Richemont offices was packed and there were thick rows of people in front of the tables with new timepieces. Here’s an event recap with a lot of (matching) photos. The location of the event was just superb. Of course Montblanc could have organized it in one of Amsterdam’s beautiful hotels, however they choose for the superb event room, at the top floor of the Richemont offices. This huge room offers space for the 50+ people that gathered that evening, and (in day light) offers a great view over the city centre. Everything is made of steel and glass, and even the stairs to enter the room are made in glass. The photo
Delma Oceanmaster Antarctica Dive Watch Hands-on (Specs & Price)
Delma is one of those brands that never fails to impress. Although not the most familiar of names, it has been producing watches in Lengnau, Switzerland since 1924 and remains independent and family-owned. Its first dive watch debuted in 1969, the Periscope, and Delma has specialised in sports watches ever since. The Oceanmaster Antarctica is the latest in the Oceanmaster collection and brings a surprising amount of features to a stylish nautical watch that's built like a tank. It also celebrates the 200th anniversary of Antarctica's discovery and even set sail with Australian adventurer Nick Moloney to the frozen continent. Let’s take a closer look at this rugged instrument.?The Delma Oceanmaster Antarctica, here on the wrist of adventurer Nick Moloney during an expedition on the white continent in February 2020. Antarctica is quite literally at the bottom of the world, situated at the southernmost point on Earth. It's the coldest, driest and windiest cont
