TAG Heuer's Carrera Caliber 5 is one stunning timepiece. Made with a shining 41 mm stainless steel bracelet, the watch has a longer sturdy life. A beautifully made dial is added with a jet black background and rose-gold index and hour markers. Furthermore, both day and date are displayed at the 3'o clock position of the dial. With this watch, there is no chance of being late for any event. In order to allow a smooth and efficient running, the manufacturer has included a 38-hour power reserve.

Interview - KF Scheufele on 25th anniversary of the Chopard Manufacture
Developed and produced by the manufacture established in Fleurier in 1996, the first Chopard L.U.C Haute Horlogerie watches were released in the late 1990s. Over the following twenty years, the manufacture created a dozen or so calibres with countless variations and, most importantly, a collection of refined watches with a distinctive flair. As the Chopard manufacture celebrates its 25th anniversary, we sat down with Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of the brand, to talk about their journey to independent movement production.Karl-Friedrich Scheufele holding Louis-Ulysse Chopard’s first pocket watch & wearing the first L.U.C wristwatchXavier Markl, MONOCHROME – You are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Chopard manufacture. How did it all start?Karl Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard – The Chopard Manufacture was created in 1996 and the L.U.C collection in 1997. It all started with a movement. In about 1993, I had the strong conviction that we
Introducing the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Pyeongchang 2018 Limited Edition (specs & price) - Monochrome Watches
The association of Omega Watches with?the Olympic Games is a long, very long story. Since 1932, Omega is the official timekeeper of the Games. Besides the technical aspect of this?partnership, Omega also celebrates this association via several limited editions dedicated to the aficionados, like the?Speedmaster Mark II Rio 2016, the?Seamaster Planet Ocean Sochi 2014 or the?Seamaster Bullhead Chronograph Edition Rio 2016. It’s now time to look at the coming Winter Games, which will take place in South Korea. And here is the first dedicated watch, the?Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Pyeongchang 2018 Limited Edition. To celebrate the 2018 Winter Games, Omega chose to edit a new watch based on the classical and rather elegant Seamaster Aqua Terra. The Aqua Terra is a casual sports watch, not a proper tool like the Seamaster 300 or the Seamaster Ploprof. It remains rather comprehensive?on the wrist at 41.5mm. Unlike its diver-oriented siblings of the Seamaster collection, it doesn’t fe

SIHH 2019 - Panerai Submersible 42mm PAM00683 and PAM00959 (Specs & Price)
It looks like 2019 is geared to become the Year of the Submersible watch for Panerai, a rugged professional diver that perpetuates the spirit of the brand's historic role as a supplier of underwater instruments for commandos of the Italian Navy. So far at the SIHH 2019 we've seen two other Submersible novelties - Marina Militare and Luna Rossa –? rigged for action in XXL Carbotech cases. The new PAM00683 and PAM00959 variants of the Submersible shrink in size, come with either a black dial and black ceramic bezel or grey dial and blue ceramic bezel and are fitted with an automatic movement.Smaller case sizeFor many Paneristi, the brand is synonymous with large case sizes and a 47mm whopper on the wrist considered pretty standard fare. Reaching out to a wider audience, Panerai presents these 42mm Submersibles reasoning that a 42mm diameter is still big enough to be consistent with the brand's DNA, but small enough to suit most wrists. Crafted in AISI 316L stainless steel, the case
Introducing the Andreas Strehler Papillon d'Or - Monochrome-Watches
In the world of independent watchmaking, there are the big names, such as MB&F, Richard Mille or Urwerk and there are the confidential manufactures, like Kari Voutilainen, Gronefeld or Sarpaneva. One of them has to be seen as extremely exclusive, first because of the very limited production figures?but also because of the unique beauty of his watches. His name is Andreas Strehler and?his latest creation is the?Papillon d’Or.Andreas Strehler is?a name that only a few?of you might know. Only a very limited number of hardcore collectors are aware of his own brand and creations. However, his work is also known from a larger audience, as he is responsible for the development of several superb timepieces, such as the Harry Winston Opus 7, the Maurice Lacroix Chronograph with an in-house calibre, the Maitre du Temps Chapter Three?or several H. Moser & Cie movements – he participated to the development of the H. Moser & Cie Perpetual Calendar. Ad - Scroll to
