Industry News: Richemont Reports 14% Sales Growth For First Quarter 2023, Driven Mainly By Jewellery
Following 2022 with impressive growth for the industry (a record year for exports) for luxury groups involved in watchmaking and jewellery (LVMH, Swatch), indicators and analysts were not so confident regarding the outlook for 2023. Growing inflation, geo-political tensions and a potential economic contraction could have led to lower sales. However, following the announcement by LVMH and Swatch Group of their Q1 or Half-Year sales (respectively +17% and +18%), it’s now time for Richemont Group to disclose its sales figures for its first quarter, which ended 30 June 2023. And here again, sales are up by a solid +14%, with jewellery as the main driver of growth.For the first three months of its fiscal year (Richemont closes the books on 1 April), the Group reports sales up by 19% at constant exchange rates or 14% at actual exchange rates, thus exceeding the 12% sales increase of the prior-year period. Richemont Announces Quarterly Results ahead of SIHH 2019 - Monochrome Watches
Just before the opening of SIHH 2019?(Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie), Switzerland-based luxury conglomerate Richemont has released its trading update for the quarter ended 31 December 2018. Richemont announced that sales in the quarter rose 25% at actual exchange rates and 24% at constant exchange rates – results that should, however, be nuanced across?the business portfolio.Organic growth in-line with expectationsRichemont’s results are mainly boosted by the consolidation of Yoox Net-A-Porter and Watchfinder (reflecting Richemont's efforts to build direct online sales channels). First Look: The New Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon Titanium
Incarnating Vacheron Constantin’s sophisticated vision of a luxury sports watch, the Overseas has its roots in the 222, a 1977 model designed to celebrate the brand's 222nd anniversary. Following a major overhaul in 2016, the brand released the third generation Overseas with a host of complications and a versatile interchangeable strap and bracelet system. The tourbillon complication was incorporated in 2019. Following editions in steel, white gold and rose gold, Vacheron announces a new version clad in titanium from head to toe.
