This visually appealing piece by Tissot has more to it than its looks. The performance of this watch is exceptional. It is water resistant for up to 300 meters and is equipped with a helium valve that automatically depressurizes the watch so that it works perfectly regardless of the shift in conditions. The dial is black with luminous hands and markings which enables the user to read the dial even in the darkest of spaces. The strap is made from rubber which makes the piece durable underwater as well.

Omega De Ville Tresor, now in Steel (Hands-On Pics) - Monochrome Watches
Riding the vintage wave that has flooded the watch market of late, Omega revisits its 1949 Tresor gentlemen's dress watch. Re-edited in stainless steel, the new De Ville Tresor model incorporates Omega's Master Co-Axial Calibre 8910, with its COSC and Master Chronometer status certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).OriginsIn 2014, the 1949 Tresor watch was given a second lease of life and became the muse of? De Ville Tresor collection. The name Tresor, meaning treasure, referred to Omega's legendary calibre 30, which was housed within the original model’s 37.5mm pink gold case. The De Ville Tresor collection of 2014 was presented in three different golds (Omega Sedna? gold, 18k yellow and white gold) and equipped with the manual-winding, chronometry-certified Master Co-Axial Calibre 8511, with its high resistance to magnetic fields. News: IWC Ceralume, The First Fully Luminous Ceramic Watch
The use of luminescent materials on watches is far from new… Soon after the discovery of radium and its properties (and dangers…) by Marie and Pierre Curie in 1898, watch dials – markers, numerals and hands – have been coated with radium and then different substances (tritium, Super-LumiNova) to produce light in the dark. Fully luminous watch dials are a far more recent trend, and fully luminous watch cases are still a rarity that we only covered twice in this magazine – with Bell & Ross and Tockr. IWC, which has already shown its appeal for lume, now unveils Ceralume, a proprietary luminous ceramic technology and the first fully luminous ceramic watch… But don’t get crazy too soon, it is still a concept and isn’t commercialized. While the idea of a fully luminous watch case isn’t new, the difference with IWC is that the brand’s engineering division XPL has developed an unprecedented luminous ceramic compound – Bell &
Hands-on: The Hypnotic Kudoke Infinity
German watchmaker Stefan Kudoke fell in love with watchmaking as a young man and cut his teeth in the complications and prototypes department of Glashutte Original, followed by stints in the New York service departments of Breguet, Blancpain and Omega. Since branching out as an independent watchmaker on the outskirts of Dresden with his brand Kudoke, the repertoire reflects Stefan’s fascination with handmade skeletonised, richly decorated movements gathered in the KUNSTwerk collection and the more sober, understated models of the HANDwerk family, spearheaded by the Kudoke 1. The Kudoke Infinity we are looking at today breaks rank with earlier editions and offers just the hours and minutes but features a lovely sparkling blue aventurine dial. ?The Saxon-English ConnectionKeen to develop his own calibre, Stefan turned to the design of historical English pocket watch movements with their symmetrical style and a central balance cock. Saxony, the cradle of refined German watchmaking,
Oris Divers Sixty-Five Glow (Specs & Price)
Oris is, without doubt, a highly productive brand with many models in collection focussed on aquatic activities. From the classic Aquis watches in multiple sizes and colours, and even with an in-house movement, to the ultra-robust Prodive, there’s basically a watch for everyone. And if you’re looking for a cool, vintage-oriented sports watch with casual flair, there’s of course the Divers Sixty-Five, a watch that has become a cornerstone model in the collection since its introduction in 2015. Today, the brand adds a new and quite enigmatic colour, with the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Glow.?The Divers Sixty-Five is a watch that pays tribute to a 1965 model with a highly original design, specifically its dial with trapezoidal indexes. While this bold and not so consensual design has been replaced by a more classic set of applied indexes, what remains is the overall fun and cool design, that of a sporty, casual watch with diving credentials – but not the kind of instrum
SIHH 2016: Introducing the Panerai Luminor 8-Days Set - Two Pre-Vend?me Inspired Collector's Models (Hands-on Photos and Price) - Monochrome Watches
The history of Panerai is probably well known, with its link to?the Italian navy, and in particular the frogman commandos of the First Submarine Group Command of the Royal Italian Navy. The Florentine watchmakers created timepieces for the Royal Italian Navy; in?1936 they created the very first ‘Radiomir’. In 1940 the Radiomir was slightly changed (now Radiomir 1940) and in 1950 the legendary Luminor 1950, with its iconic crown protection mechanism, was first created. Much can be said about Panerai’s history, however commercial success didn’t start until the, what we now call, the pre-Vend?me period. During this year’s SIHH Panerai introduces a set of two pre-Vend?me inspired watches, the Panerai Luminor 8-Days set.?Limited to only 500 examples, the?new Luminor 8 Days set of two watches inspired by these pre-Vend?me watches; to be precise, the so-called?Slytech models that sold in 1996. The pre-Vend?me era was from?1992-1997 and Panerai offered three colle
