Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie Titanium
While the “Royal Oak” part of this watch is something that might feel familiar to most of you, there’s another part of the name of this impressive Audemars Piguet that will certainly need some more explanations, and that is the “Supersonnerie” part… The 2.0 version of the minute repeater, a watch that carries 3 patents and multiple unprecedented technical solutions, the Supersonnerie is all about remarkable acoustic performances – an idea that goes back to the 2016 Concept RD1 Acoustic Research Minute Repeater. Today, the brand is unveiling a new version of its Royal Oak Minute Repeater Supersonnerie, entirely crafted in titanium, with a smoked grey dial. The Supersonnerie conceptDeveloped by Audemars Piguet and launched in 2016 in the Royal Oak Concept collection, the Supersonnerie mechanism endows this new minute repeater model with the volume and resonance usually associated with pocket watches. Buying Guide - The Most Sought-After Royal Oak Models in Collection - And the Sad Reality of the Market
After we look at the most desirable models in and Patek Philippe catalogues, and the reality of the market – understand, the premium you’ll have to pay to get your hands on these watches, without waiting for years – it is time to go full circle and to give an end to the speculation story… And that means looking at THE watch that actually started it all, the watch that, back in 1972, created the trend for luxury sports watches, so-to-say today’s hottest watch category; the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, of course. So here are the most sought-after Audemars Piguet watches in collection – all being Royal Oak models – and the reality of what you’ll need to pay if you want one, right now.?The 15202ST might not suffer the same insane premium as a 5711 but that doesn’t mean it will be easy to get one (and not cheap either)You must know the deal… Back in 1972, a man named Gerald Genta went to see a certain watch manufacture, part of the
The Collector's Series - An industry insider and his IWC Portugieser Automatic 7-day - Monochrome-Watches
As a watch lover, I find it fascinating asking those who work in the industry what they choose to wear from the particular brand they work for. It tends to be quite revealing given they spend the majority for their day discussing their respective ranges and the pro's and con's. This week the Collector’s Series moves to my home city of London. As we sat in the IWC London boutique I couldn’t quite believe it had been a year since it's opening and the first time Joey Syrett and I had met. Why IWC and why the IWC Portugieser Automatic 7-day, Joey gives us the inside scoop. When I think of IWC, one collection comes to mind. The Iconic Portugieser. The IWC Portugieser is seen as the first commercial' IWC collection. IWC have been creating pocket watches and wristwatches since its founding in 1868. The Portugieser was born in 1939, when two Portuguese entrepreneurs commissioned IWC with the task of creating highly accurate wristwatches with the precision of marine chronometers. At
Breguet Marine Alarme Musicale 5547 (Specs & Price)
If Breguet is renowned?for its Classique collection and its pilot's watch range (Type XX and others), the catalogue also comprises another important collection named La Marine. Not only does it represents the sport(ier) side of the brand - don't expect bold Hublotesque touches, we're at Breguet - but it is also a link to a lesser-known aspect of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s history, when he was the Horloger de la Marine', the official supplier of chronometers to France’s Navy. As the new collection?is now available, we look back at this third generation, with the rather original Breguet La Marine Alarme Musicale 5547.Horloger de la MarineBreguet and marine chronometry are a long story. As early as 1812, Abraham-Louis Breguet sold two marine chronometers to the observatory of Florence. In 1814, he was appointed to the Board of Longitude. During the French Restauration, following the fall of Napoleon, Breguet was appointed as the official watchmaker of the French Royal Navy in 181
