A. Lange & Sohne Odysseus Steel Sports Watch - Review, Live Pics, Video, Price
Here’s the brand new A. Lange & Sohne Odysseus, the brand’s first stainless steel watch that can easily be worn during sports and that isn’t scared of a bit of water. Is this the luxury sports watch that you were expecting? Well, better forget everything you know about luxury sports watches and anything you could have imagined beforehand. The Odysseus from Lange looks… like a Lange. But now in a stainless steel case and on an integrated steel bracelet. Two shaped pushers allow you to switch the day of the week and date indications, which adds a bit of a Zeitwerk-spirit to the new steel Lange. Let’s welcome the first Lange that you can wear in the board room AND when diving off the board into a swimming pool.Introductory note…Odysseus might just be the most polarizing watch in A. Lange and Sohne’s history. The Lange 31 was already polarizing and when the first Zeitwerk was introduced, I can assure you that not every Lange collector immediate
Introducing Gerald Charles Maestro Ultra-Thin and Chronograph Blue Dial
It takes a lot of pluck to establish a watch brand on one design alone. There again, if the design is by Gerald Genta, one of the most acclaimed and prolific watch designers of our time, things are a little different. Just think about Audemars Piguet's success riding on the back of Genta's indestructible 1972 design for the Royal Oak or Patek Philippe's successful run with the Nautilus. Gerald Charles, the brand founded by the late Gerald Genta in 2000, revolves exclusively around the Maestro, a flamboyant case design that returns today in two ultra-thin rose gold models with royal blue sunburst dials and a matching rubber strap. Another novelty is the incorporation of the hexagonal-shaped oscillating weight first appearing on the Maestro 8.0 Squelette, a feature that will be integrated into all new Gerald Charles watches. Who's WhoIt can be confusing, but Gerald Charles, the brand, was created by acclaimed watch designer Gerald Charles Genta (1931-2011). Having produced icons for coun

Chopard Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF Titanium - Hands-On, Price
The luxury sports watch with integrated bracelet is all the rage at the moment. The Alpine Eagle, Chopard's take on the genre, is a modern, state-of-the-art reinterpretation of the 1980s Saint-Moritz. Unveiled two years ago, the model is now released in a 250-piece limited edition powered by a high-tech 8Hz high-frequency automatic movement. Here's the Chopard Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF in Titanium. While most mechanical wristwatches usually tick between 2.5Hz and 4Hz, high-frequency movements ticking at 5Hz and over are widely considered to improve the precision and stability of movements (even if, naturally, precision and stability are not solely related to frequency). Chopard has been conducting research in the field for years. The brand released its first experimental watch ticking at an impressive 8Hz as early as 2012 with the L.U.C 8HF powered by the L.U.C 01.06-L calibre. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Vacheron Constantin Traditionelle Complete Calendar now in Pink Gold - SIHH 2018 Hands-On (Specs & Price)
Vacheron Constantin’s?Traditionelle Complete Calendar Collection Excellence Platine, released just ahead of the SIHH, was already a pleasing novelty, albeit an expensive and limited one. The platinum model, with its great calendar display, is now flanked by a model in lustrous pink gold for the SIHH 2018, as a serially produced piece in the collection. It is reassuring to see that Vacheron Constantin's commitment to the classics is as unwavering as the brand's commitment to extraordinary quality. The Traditionelle family, designed to perpetuate the traditions of Genevan Haute Horlogerie, is, as you would expect, classic to the core with round cases in precious metals distinguished by the knurled bezel on the case back and elegant tapered Dauphine hands. Depending on the complications involved - ranging from minute repeater tourbillons and perpetual calendars to world timers and straightforward three-hand pieces - the stylistic features on the dial can alter quite dramatically in t
