The Hublot 510.CM.1170.CM is a classic fusion variety. It comes with a graceful and bold matte black dial. This makes it suit best for formal occasions. The watch is encased in satin-finished and black polished ceramic. This gives a very bold statement to the watch's design. The sapphire crystals not only make the glass scratch-resistant, but also account for its anti-reflective properties. Hublot guarantees a self-winding caliber in this design and the reserve is kept up to 42 hours in total.

The Battle of High-End Chronographs Part 2 - A. Lange & Sohne 1815 Chronograph - Monochrome Watches
When it comes to pure, thoroughbred manual-winding chronographs, models that are devoted exclusively to capturing elapsed times and not equipped with any other paraphernalia, A. Lange & Sohne's 1815 Chronograph is up there in the pantheon of perfection. The model we are reviewing for our three-part Battle of the High-End Chronograph series is the 2018 pink gold with black dial version, similar to the Boutique Edition of 2015 with its pulsometer scale. Like all the current variations on the 1815 chronograph theme (white gold black dial, Boutique Edition), this watch is equipped with what is possibly the most beautiful hand-wound movement on the market today.?In pursuit of purityHand-wound chronographs with in-house movements and no additional complications are not as prevalent as you might think. Far more complicated to develop than a tourbillon, many watch manufacturers have depended on outsourced movements, including Patek Philippe's famous – and now discontinued – ref
SIHH 2018 - Davide Cerrato of Montblanc, On The New Collection - Monochrome Watches
Yesterday, we kicked off our series of videos from SIHH 2018 with Fran?ois-Henry Bennahmias, CEO of Audemars Piguet, talking us through the new collection. This morning, we are sitting down with the inimitable Davide Cerrato, Managing Director of Montblanc Watches, to learn about what has inspired the Montblanc collection this year. Not surprisingly, the 160th anniversary of Minerva is a big focus as is the theme of mountain exploration, which, as you will see in the video, has led to some truly cool, vintage-inspired pieces. In our pre-SIHH coverage, we already got hands on with several of the new models that Montblanc is debuting this year, including; the Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph and the TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph, as well as a few others. One of my personal favourites, so far at least, is the new Montblanc 1858 Automatic Chronograph, which we got hands on with yesterday. The watch offers many of the same design elements as the highly popular 1858 Chronograph T
First Look: The New Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Blue-and-Gold
Over the years, Bulgari has released various iterations of the Octo Finissimo Automatic, showcasing the brand’s willingness to experiment with diverse materials and textures. Each subsequent model breathed new life into its appearance, unveiling a captivating and distinct aesthetic. The brand also improved the Octo Finissimo Automatic series, notably increasing water resistance from the inaugural 30m to a commendable 100m. New to the series is this bold and luxurious new edition, a yellow gold and blue dial version of the ultra-thin Octo Finissimo Automatic.?In 2017, Bulgari achieved its third record in ultra-thin watchmaking with the Octo Finissimo Automatic, measuring a mere 5.15mm thick. This accomplishment followed the 2014 Octo Finissimo Tourbillon and the 2016 Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater. Despite these earlier achievements, the more accessible Octo Finissimo Automatic played a crucial role in solidifying the iconic status of the series. This watch, which started its life
Introducing The Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman 41mm (Live Pics & Price)
One of the best marketing tools for a watch brand is an exciting, real-life action story. Whether providing field, dive, or even marine chronometer watches for US Army and Navy servicemen or appearing in cameos on the silver screen, many of Hamilton‘s historical watches have seen their fair share of action. The Frogman, Hamilton’s tough diver, got real-life experience with the US Navy’s underwater demolition teams and even appeared in the 1951 movie The Frogmen enacting dramatic missions undertaken by the combat divers. Revisited in 2022, Hamilton’s vintage military-grade dive watch resurfaced as the Khaki Navy Frogman in a formidable 46mm case with more contemporary aesthetics. Today, Hamilton expands the Frogman Auto with four new models in more compact 41mm cases.Action-readyHamilton’s tough purpose-built diver with an unusual locking mechanism on the crown was part of the Naval Combat Demolition Units (NCDUs) gear and used on mine-clearing missions in
Hands-On: The Patek Philippe Calatrava 24-Hour Travel Time 5224R
While chronographs and complex calendars are often seen as the classics of Patek Philippe – and sometimes both combined – traveller’s watches of all kinds have long been present within the brand’s collections. Remember that Patek, together with Louis Cottier, pioneered the concept of the world time watch. There are more travel watches and complications for everyday use available, and the?Travel Time dual time zone function is known as Patek’s vision of this multi-time-zone concept. This year, the brand presents a watch that combines elegance, classism and practicality, yet with a slight dosage of originality and casualness; the Calatrava 24-Hour Travel Time 5224R.Among the numerous complications available in Patek Philippe’s collections, the Travel Time system for the display of a second time zone (with two centre hour hands, one of which can be adjusted backwards or forwards in one-hour steps) has become a classic, with proven practicality when trav
