Following the presentation of its 2023 novelties at Watches & Wonders, Patek Philippe will exhibit a new edition of its Rare Handcrafts at its Geneva salon from April 1 to 15. A grand display of the brand's commitment to rare metiers d'art, 67 creations will be on display, and a team of Patek's master craftsmen will be on hand to illustrate their artisanal skills. And if you’re in Geneva in the coming weeks, it is surely something you have to check for yourself.Time-honoured techniques such as Grand Feu cloisonne enamel, manual engraving, guillochage and micromarquetry are put into practice by the Maison's artisans to embellish the 22 dome clocks, three table clocks, 12 pocket watches and 30 wristwatches exhibited in Patek Philippe's luxurious headquarters. Divided thematically into two areas, the first is dedicated to flora and fauna and features the Leopard pocket watch combining wood marquetry, manual engraving and champleve enamel. The second thematic area pays tribute to the great legends of human adventure and includes a set of timepieces dedicated to motor racing, including the 1948 Nations Grand Prix Calatrava wristwatch with its miniature enamel depiction of two vintage race cars speeding along the shoreline of Lake Geneva.
