This sleek and stylish Bell and Ross is called Racing Bird. It displays the time, date and central seconds. The design is simple yet attractive. The white dial has painted blue numerals along with the luminescent metallic skeleton minute and hour hands. This compliments the orange lined blue calfskin band that buckles with a classic steel pin. Its case is of 38mm in diameter and is made up of satin-polished steel. The anti-reflective crystal is a curved sapphire that gives a modern finish to the modest design. This watch can resist water up to 100 meters.

The Breitling Navitimer 8 Collection, Georges Kerns First Creation as CEO of Breitling - Monochrome Watches
After he unexpectedly?left IWC and joined Breitling as the new CEO, Georges Kern was under the radar… We were all waiting for the first novelty to come out of the Grenchen-based manufacture. And today, here THEY come. Indeed, it’s not a watch but a full collection named the?Breitling Navitimer 8, which we introduce to you today. Five different models, five different displays, five different movements, one entirely new concept. There was a lot of talk about what Kern was about to launch… The answer is a pilot watch, obviously. Let’s take a look at Kern’s debut.Don’t be fooled by the “Navitimer” in the name of this new collection. In fact, it hasn’t got much in common with the iconic pilot watch. At least, don’t consider the new?Breitling Navitimer 8 collection as an extension of the existing “Navi” collection, but as an independent and new offer from the pilot-oriented brand. Don’t be scared though, as the?Bre
Hands-On - Speake-Marin London Chronograph Valjoux 92 (Specs & Price)
Fitted with a refurbished Valjoux 92 Calibre from the 1960s, Speake-Marin's London Chronograph pays tribute to the English soul of the brand and flaunts some dandy design tweaks on the dial. Originally released in 2016 in a hyper-limited edition of just 3 pieces, Speake-Marin revisits the London Chronograph in 2018 in another limited edition of 15 watches. A winning combination of classic watchmaking elements, quirky design choices and a vintage movement make the London Chronograph a very fetching and practically unique model. The heart of the matterBefore even addressing the design aspect of this watch, let's take a look at the heart of the matter. The restored Valjoux 92 calibre inside the London Chronograph adds a genuine slice of watchmaking history to the mix and can be admired - no rotor blocking the show – through the sapphire caseback. A rare vintage chronograph movement purchased from a collector who had kept it in a safe for years, the 15 Valjoux 92 movements powering th
Omega Seamaster Diver 300M - Underwater Dive Review (Specs & Price)
Let's play a word association game. When you hear the name Omega, what is the first thing that pops into your head? If you're like me, it instantly conjures up thoughts of Speedmaster chronographs and space exploration. This is no small thanks to Omega's marketing prowess and (well-deserved) pride at being on the wrists of the men who boldly went where no man had gone before. But it is at the other pinnacle of exploration where you will find the longest-running watch in Omega's vast catalogue: the Seamaster. And for another of my diving trips, I took the most classic yet ultra-accomplished model underwater, the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M.First released way back in 1948, the Seamaster was Omega's answer to the growing demand for a tough, everyday wristwatch. Based on the success and watchmaking know-how they honed making over 110,000 timepieces for the British military during World War II, the first Seamaster was a robust, do-it-all timepiece, with even better water resistance than its
Patek Philippe 5320g Perpetual Calendar - Review (Specs & Price)
At Baselworld this year, Patek Philippe once again introduced a surprising watch, a piece with a unique look and a clear vintage inspiration – without mentioning a case to die for. For a few years now, Patek?has accustomed us with a certain creativity, with watches that go out of the brand’s comfort zone (see for instance the controversial Calatrava Pilot 5524 or the Annual Calendar 5960A in steel). The?5320g Perpetual Calendar is amongst these special watches, even if here, it?prompted a unanimously positive response. Today, we take a closer look at this vintage/military-inspired piece and also to the different watches that inspired its creation.Various vintage inspiration to create a unique watchBefore looking at the?Patek Philippe 5320g Perpetual Calendar in detail, we have to understand where it comes from. Indeed, this watch is a contemporary creation and not a proper re-edition of one single vintage model. Yet, several of its key elements have been designed after some
Branding and Jaquet Droz's automata - Monochrome Watches
It¡äs a funny thing with brands: we can hardly imagine today that there used to be a time that practically every name of a customer, retailer or group of collectors, could be easily stamped on a dial, movement or case. The now prestigious names of established brands were hidden away, either engraved in the movement, the case-back or even unmentioned. The brand, if watch producers even considered themselves to be one, was a modest servant of the public. Jaeger-LeCoultre produced dentist tools and shaving equipment to survive and Patek Philippe watches that are now sought after in auction houses, were proudly bearing the names of the retailers on the dial, above or even sometimes instead of the brand itself. There are also many examples of and Tiffany & Co like this vintage pre-daytona that somehow didn’t sell that well, back in the days. Ad - Scroll to continue with article
