A. Lange & Sohne Little Lange 1 Moon Phase Gold Flux
For some, the thought of wearing a wristwatch with anything other than a perfectly symmetrical dial would be unthinkable, yet for others, watches like the Lange 1 by A. Lange & Sohne are considered iconic. The German manufacturer's new editions of the Little Lange 1 Moon Phase combine visual elegance with horological values harnessed in Saxony. It presents the time on a dial crafted from unusual materials to echo the moon against a star-studded sky. Through the back of the case, an in-house movement finished with hallmark Glashutte techniques is put on display. The 36.8mm model crafted from 18k white gold comes in an unadorned version or a diamond-set iteration boasting a total of 56 round brilliant-cut diamonds on its bezel (1.20 carats).?The famous asymmetrical dialGerman watch manufacturer A. Hands-On With the Elegant Yet Accessible Longines Presence Heritage
The Heritage collection is, without a doubt, one of my favourites in the Longines range, and for many years I have enjoyed sharing my admiration whenever the topic came up. The history of this truly great brand dates back to 1832, with vast archives to dive into. Thus, for the Heritage Collection, there are plenty of delightful models to replicate or serve as inspiration to please today’s customers. The Longines Presence Heritage, a slightly overlooked model (to say the least), honours the brand’s past and present with this lovely reference in rose gold. And there are many things to talk about regarding the design, but it’s also one of the best value proposition models the brand has to offerOne of the particularities that contribute to my appreciation for Longines is the meetings I had over the years with Walter von Kanel, who worked at the company for over 30 years before retiring from the post of president at the age of 79. I could say he was responsible for teachin
Hands-On - Trilobe Les Matinaux Sunray Grey (Specs & Price)
The circular motion of hands has been widely adopted for multiple centuries now, in order to display the time. But if you are ready to look at things differently and twist conventions, there is latitude for creativity and a multitude of other ways to tell the time. When faced with buying his first serious mechanical watch, Gautier Massonneau could not find his heart desire among the current range of watches. The son of an architect and interior designer, with a background in banking/finance, the young French man soon embarked on the creation of his own watch and his own independent brand. The project was started in 2013 and the first watch was presented in 2018. Trilobe timepieces eschew traditional codes and instead provide their own offbeat take on mechanical watchmaking. The Dubai Watch Week was a perfect opportunity to go hands-on with the?Trilobe Les Matinaux Sunray Grey, the brand’s first creation. The first thing to catch your eye with the Trilobe Les Matinaux?(The Morning
Introducing The Green Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Glassbox
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the iconic Carrera chronograph last year, TAG Heuer unveiled the Carrera Glassbox and a 42mm Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon, a timepiece equally characterised by seamlessly integrated domed sapphire crystal. Inspired by the domed hesalite crystals found on early Carrera models, this watch with refined ergonomics presented a distinct and clean aesthetic. Initially offered with a striking blue dial featuring silver-coloured elements, polished sub-dial surrounds, and an orange lacquered central chronograph seconds hand, this technical Carrera exuded the essence of a racing chronograph poised for action. In a nod to contemporary trends, TAG Heuer has expanded its offering of teal green-coloured models, already present in the Carrera Chronograph series, to include the new Tourbillon model, creating what is described as “a sophisticated statement piece.”The 42mm case of the Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon with a thickness of 14.33 mm
