Review: The A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Time Zone in Platinum
In 2020, after 15 years of production and many variations, the Lange 1 Time Zone received a highly anticipated update. It was introduced in three different versions: cases crafted from yellow gold (limited to 100), pink gold, and white gold, with champagne, argente and black dials, respectively. This new model came with a fresh calibre and featured a more organised and streamlined indication layout while retaining its fundamental design elements. This summer, A. Lange & Sohne introduced a platinum Lange 1 Time Zone version with a rhodium-coloured dial, prompting us to conduct a thorough review of what has to be called the traveller's stealth.BackgroundIn October next year, A. Lange & Sohne will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original Lange 1 watch’s introduction to the public (24 October 1994). In a concise span, this stunning timepiece became an instantly recognisable and coveted item, essentially becoming the face of A. Lange & Sohne and lending its name to a
Weekly Watch Photo - Audemars Piguet Millenary Star Wheel - Monochrome Watches
Again a photo made by GEO, although this time no Cartier. Audemars Piguet made this rare Millenary Star Wheel for the 125th anniversary of the brand and in my opinion one of the most beautiful of this manufacture. It’s almost refreshing to see another timepieces from Audemars Piguet, than the Royal Oak or Royal Oak Offshore collections. Like the Millenary collection, Audemars Piguet does have several more collections that are very appealing and much more elegant than the RO and ROO. Besides the Millenary I also enjoy beautiful esthetics of the Jules Audemars collection and?the Edward Piguet collection (especially the EP chronograph). Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary SLGH002 New Calibre 9SA5 - Review
In March Grand Seiko unveiled its 2020 watch collection and prepared to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the brand. Among the novelties were some elegant and discreet watches paying tribute to the first-ever GS watch, a robust and high-end diver with a brand new Spring Drive movement and watches focusing on traditional decorative skills. And… there was the SLGH002. A watch that, at first, appears as a rather classic piece, bearing all the usual features of the brand. Sharp but elegant, superbly finished and powered by an in-house movement. However, there is more to this watch, which is actually the most important of all the models launched in 2020. And it has to do with its movement.Preliminary note: the watch you see here is a prototype, with a movement that doesn’t entirely reflect the reality of the decoration. For this reason, the photos of the movement are from our colleagues at Hodinkee. Ad - Scroll to continue with article

Bvlgari consolidates its winning legion of Octo L’Originale?watches with the release of two new variations. With the same architectural design as their Finissimo brothers, who have secured victory after victory in the battle for ultra-thin, the Octo l'Originale watches come with slightly thicker cases, sportier attire and leaner prices. Sheathed in flattering black DLC-coated steel and highlighted with luxurious rose gold details, the sculptural shapes of the Octo case become even more pronounced on these new Octo l'Originale Solotempo and Chronograph watches. All Roads Lead to RomeThe genius of the Octo lies in its highly sculptural, dynamic case design. What is considered by many as the very epitome of a contemporary case design – which marries a round bezel to a pronounced octagonal base – was in fact inspired by architectural features of Ancient Rome. This intrepid juxtaposition of shapes has its origins in Rome's imperial architecture, to be precise, in the coffer

Anyone who has ever carved the snow on skis or hugged a turn's line in a sports car or caressed the slope of a woman's back will appreciate the curves in the Cle de Cartier.
