Only Watch 2015 - Unique IWC Ingenieur Automatic Edition Tribute to Nico Rosberg - Monochrome-Watches
The Ingenieur?is a pure icon in?the IWC collection. Its design (not the first one from 1954 but instead the one that we know now, based on 1975 Geral Genta’s idea) is recognizable amongst every other watches and seen as a very desirable sports watch. For Only Watch 2015, the charity auction to fund?research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, IWC will offer a one-of-a-kind edition of the Ingenieur that pays tribute to one of its main ambassador: Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg –?even if it looks extremely close to the classical edition, this unique IWC Ingenieur Automatic Edition Tribute to Nico Rosberg has something really technical hidden in its case.Don’t be fooled by the illustrations. This watch is unique and is far from being a production edition. How come? For sure, its case is shaped like all the other IWC Ingenieur watches, with integrated lugs and a round bezel secured by 5 screws. For sure, its carbon fiber dial has already been seen in other race-oriented editi
Hands-On: The new Tudor Black Bay Master Chronometer is a Monochromatic Classic
A classic that has been in the collection for over 12 years and, without a doubt, the brand’s cornerstone model, the classic 41mm Tudor Black Bay is now in its third generation. If design-wise not much has changed at first sight, the watch you see today is, in many ways, a much more advanced instrument than when it was first released in 2012. Following last year’s major update applied to the burgundy-gilt version, the Tudor Black Bay Master Chronometer collection has been expanded with the replacement of the black version, now offered in an ultra-classic, no-gilt, all-monochrome model. And I have a few (positive) things to say about it.Evolution, not revolution, is the motto that we have long associated with , and it seems to also apply to Tudor in a slightly less strict manner. and its Submariner are the perfect example of keeping things as evolutionary as possible. In a way, this might be how you create an icon – I’m pretty sure Porsche with its 911, Apple
Tudor Heritage Black Bay 41
Last year, Tudor Watch surprised us (and by that I mean a very pleasant surprise) with a small, super clean and properly elegant watch: the Black Bay 36. We reviewed it, even our vintage guy tested it… and we loved it. This year, this same stunning look, clean and inspired, comes back in a more masculine diameter. Meet the?Tudor Heritage Black Bay 41 ref. 79540, same but different.Basically, this?Tudor Heritage Black Bay 41 ref. 79540 takes the recipe of last year’s 36mm and adapts it in the classical masculine Tudor case, meaning 41mm. This watch has a slightly different taste than the usual Black Bay. The lack of the rotating bezel actually sets the watch in a different category. No more tool, not yet dress watch… it is the perfect?definition of a casual, elegant sports watch. No useless features, just the essential, but yet a great presence on the wrist, already in 36mm. This year, the increased size brings the concept to men. Ad - Scroll to continue wit

American Obscurities: Bare Steel and Plexiglas-Bodied Cars - Monochrome Watches
American car culture can be a weird thing sometimes, incomparable to other cultures. It is an endless source of interesting stories and cars. It might not be to everyone's liking as there's a wide range of styles and followings. This week we take a look at two stories by two leading manufacturers displaying their skill and know-how in new technology and design. On one hand, we have a transparent car by Pontiac (General Motors) from the 1930s and on the other, we have a trio of bare steel Fords.General Motors, parent to a whole portfolio of brands, and Ford are leading car manufacturers, both in the US and abroad. Besides building regular road cars for regular people, they have spawned some hugely interesting machines that get Petrolhead's gears racing a little faster! Most people might think of a Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, Charger and Challenger, a Viper or other muscle and sports cars. And you'd be right, all very lovely stuff. But there's more, especially when you look at concept car
