Luxury Watches |
Cartier has provided for its wearers one unique design after the other. The Cartier Tank Americaine Collection features this model that is no exception to Cartier's signature design. The model features a rectangular stainless steel casing that displays a silver dial with black indexes and blued steel hands. The dial is surrounded by a fixed stainless steel bezel and will wrap around your wrist comfortably with a blue alligator leather strap that is a statement of fashion on its own. What puts the watch on the epitome of functionality is its automatic movement along with the water resistance up to 30 meters. All of these features together make this watch an ideal one.

The Robust And Tool-like Isotope Hydrium California Limited Edition
Over 70% of our precious Earth is covered in water, and huge areas of it have not yet been fully explored. It’s very likely we’ll never manage to discover all the far corners of the oceans, as they are one of the most challenging environments mankind can face. The main issue is pressure, which increases by 1 bar (or 14.5 PSI) every ten meters down. At 60 meters below the surface, the pressure is already seven times the air pressure we face on land. That hasn’t deterred us from diving into the deep and finding out as much as possible about underwater life as we can. Professional and recreational diving has long relied on mechanical watches for timing a descent and, more importantly, the ascent to avoid running into issues such as decompression sickness. And even with dives now being timed by computer instruments, the appeal of a mechanical dive watch has stuck. The robust nature of a dive watch is the reason we still see so many of them, ranging from very affordable to
IWC expands its Pilot's Watch Mark XX with 4 new references
Just a couple of months ago we found out IWC had quietly introduced the new Pilot’s Watch Mark XX. No fanfare, no public announcement, no press releases, nothing. It just popped up on the website one day, out of the blue. And speaking of blue, that was one of the dial colours presented, alongside classical black. This time around, IWC brings us four new references to the Mark XX collection that up the versatility of this very classically styled pilot’s watch once more, with new strap and bracelet options to choose from! These new additions to the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX collection aren’t going to wow you with creativity or originality. It are typical pilot-style watches by IWC so you pretty much know what you’re getting upfront. However, the Mark XX range revealed some touch-ups beyond the overall design as it showcased new proportions, colours, and mechanics. All of them come in the solid 40mm wide steel case with 10.8mm in height, a simple knurled crown, a
Hands-On with the IWC Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight Days ¡®BFI London Film Festival 2015 Limited Edition - Monochrome-Watches
For once, allow me to quote a press release (something that we usually never do, considering the insane amount of self-love brands can and usually put in their press releases). However, this one was quite appropriate: “Like a good movie, this watch doesn't have to rely on special effects“. Indeed, the?IWC Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight Days is visually flying under the radar and all the artifacts are mechanical – which is a much better option for watch-nerds like us. To follow the unique platinum edition of the Portugeiser Annual Calendar for BFI 2015 we showed you recently, IWC also introduces a 59-piece limited edition, with a simpler movement and in steel. Here is the?IWC Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight Days BFI London Film Festival 2015' Limited Edition. If you have interest in history of watchmaking, you’ve probably noticed that the IWC?Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight Days could easily be the edition that is the closest to the very first Portugieser watches introduc
The Sustainable Cedric Bellon CB01 GMT x Ace
Sustainability is a big thing in today’s society, and rightfully so as we’re heading in the wrong direction very fast when it comes to our beloved Planet Earth. The shift towards more environmentally friendly and sustainable ways of living also found its way into the watchmaking industry, with various brands doing their best to push back waste and pollution in whichever way they can. Through a wide range of programs or new production initiatives, carbon footprints are cut down and waste is transformed into resources. This strategic push has motivated watch designer Cedric Bellon to create the most sustainable watch available to date. Ace Jewelers, a Dutch watch and jewellery retailer led by Alon Ben Joseph and his family, has embraced this concept to create a special edition watch, the Cedric Bellon CB01 GMT x Ace Jewelers.Cedric Bellon, Watch Angles & Ace JewelersDesigner Cedric Bellon is quite a well-established name within the watchmaking industry, even though people
Vacheron Constantin Introduces the World's Thinnest Minute Repeater caliber and Thinnest Minute Repeater Watch - Monochrome Watches
Vacheron Constantin sets two records with the introduction of the Patrimony Contemporaine Ultra-Thin Calibre 1731. It is the world’s thinnest minute repeater movement and the world’s thinnest minute repeater wrist watch. This new ultra-thin chiming watch measures just 8.09 mm in height and its movement is just a mere 3.90 mm in height. Even leaving the “world records” out of the equation, what Vacheron accomplishes here is simply magnificent. Striking complications are usually seen as the most difficult of all complications, especially when integrating it in an ultra-thin movement. For those of you who remember Piaget’s introduction earlier this year, that was also a record for the world’s thinnest minute repeater movement and minute repeater watch. With the difference that the Emperador Coussin Ultra-Thin Minute Repeater is automatically wound, while the Vacheron is a manually wound watch. The new ultra-thin caliber 1731 has been finished to the very
