Luxury Watches |
The Khaki Field Mechanical watch manufactured by Hamilton is a tribute to its military pedigree. It is the perfect combination of vintage and modern technology. It is made with stainless steel case dipped in an earth-colored PVD case coting to mimic both the original finish and to minimize reflections. It is 50m water resistant and wears exceptionally well. It is one of the sturdiest hand winding watches with military aesthetics and dimensions.

Hands-on: A Personal Take On The Stunning Moritz Grossmann Hamatic
To kick things off, this will be a very personal story, and yes, it is about a mechanical watch. When I first got into watchmaking, I knew very little about the history of the industry or the different regions in the world that dominate it. My knowledge came from magazines, movies and TV shows, billboards and the early days of social media, and that was about it. That is until I joined MONOCHROME in 2012 and started to seriously fall down the proverbial rabbit hole. My knowledge and experience grew, my interests shifted, and a whole world of new and exciting brands opened up, from very small one-man outfits to corporate behemoths. Over the years, my preferences continued to shift, and I have developed a deep love for German watchmaking, specifically from the Glashutte region. There’s just something special about how watches from this part of the world are made. And I’m not arguing if they’re better than Swiss or Japanese-made high-end watches, but the style is very pu

The Alpine A110 Edition - A French Treasure // The Petrolhead Corner
Pour une fois, cet episode de “The Petrolhead Corner” sera en fran?ais… Ok sorry, switching back to our usual English. But I could have gone French all the way, as today’s topic is bleu, very bleu. As some of you might know, I’m French, I love cars and I love sports and vintage engines – hence this weekly car-related column. As such, without surprise, I have a special thing for Alpine, which represents a lot as a Frenchy, but also on a personal basis. So today, The Petrolhead Corner puts his baguette under its arm and drives to the French countryside.Image by PetroliciousIf you think French cars, you have Renault, Peugeot and the likes… Nothing to drive me crazy (pun intended), in all fairness. On the other side of the spectre, there’s Bugatti. Yes, it has Italian roots, it is owned by Germans but cars have been produced and are still manufactured in French Alsace, near the German border. But let’s be honest, those cars aren’t
The 2022 Tudor Ranger 39mm 79950 In-House (Specs-Price)
While most of us might know Tudor (at least its modern side) for the countless editions of the Black Bay, the brand has far more to offer… And that, for its historical or modern collections. If you recall, in 2014 Tudor paid tribute to its involvement into exploration, by bringing back an important model, the Ranger. A robust, no-nonsense instrument made for adventure, it came back modernized with an oversized case but the same overall spirit. The Tudor Ranger has since been discontinued, but today it’s back with multiple evolutions, making it a far stronger offering. 39mm in size, equipped with a chronometer movement and some tricks under its sleeve, here’s the new 2022 Tudor Ranger 79950.?Tudor, Exploration and the BNGE is known by many for its connection with exploration, as of the 1930s, including testing watches on Himalayan expeditions. The peak of this story occurred with Sir Edmund Hillary and expedition partner Tenzing Norgay, when they summit Mount Everest
Arnold and Son Constant Force Tourbillon - Review with technical explanations (live photos, specs & price) - Monochrome Watches
What you’ll see in this review is not “just” a watch, it’s much more, it’s a chronometry lesson that can be worn on the wrist. For a few years now,?we’ve?seen ultra-complicated watches with stunning displays, crazy complications and a stupendous amount of finishing. However, we do have to remember that first and most important goal of a watch is to display the time with the highest precision possible. Indeed, before being able to calculate a leap year, a perpetual calendar has to be precise in timekeeping. This path for accuracy is sometimes a bit forgotten, however?Arnold and Son bring us a “back-to-basic” watch, which the single?and only?goal is to display the time (and nothing else) in the most precise (and stunning) way. Don’t expect any displayed complications but expect this watch to be extremely complicated.
