Luxury Watches |
A classic wristwatch to add to your collection; the Classic Fusion Automatic Black from Hublot is a beautiful watch that comes with an elegant black dial which is marked with rose gold-tone indexes and hand markers to produce a magical appearance. Moreover, surrounding this is a casing that is made from 18ct king gold with a sapphire crystal and anti-reflective treatment to keep the looks preserved. The bezel also has the same looks as the casing, but with 6 H-shaped titanium screws attached on it.

First Look: The Discreet Luxury of the Chopard L.U.C 1860 Flying Tourbillon
Karl-Friedrich Scheufele's dream of mechanical independence materialised in 1996 with the presentation of Chopard‘s first in-house movement known as calibre 1.96. Produced in Chopard’s Fleurier manufacture, the calibre was fitted inside the first L.U.C 1860 watch, writing a new chapter in the brand's high-end watchmaking journey. Recognised as one of the finest ultra-thin micro-rotor automatic movements produced in Switzerland, calibre 1.96 has spawned a generation of sophisticated movements like the flying tourbillon introduced in 2019. The latest reference, powered by the tourbillon calibre L.U.C 96.24-L, is the epitome of a dress watch flaunting perfect proportions, a gorgeous hand-guilloche dial, a hinged, hunter-style caseback revealing the superlative in-house movement. A limited edition of 10 pieces, the L.U.C 1860 Flying Tourbillon is a proponent of quiet luxury, a product that whispers rather than shouts luxury.Although the first model to feature the ultra-thin fly
Bremont Watches, go see them! - Monochrome Watches
Bremont Watches is a relatively new watch brand from the UK. Yes indeed, a British watch brand. And it’s a very interesting brand. Last year a friend told me about a new and very nice watch brand. After looking at some photos of their watches, i was interested but could not fully relate to his immense enthusiasm. The photos showed nice ‘aviation’ watches, more or less like the IWC pilot series. He said… you gotto see them ‘in the metal’, than you’ll understand.Bremont ALT1-Z/DGAt Baselworld this year i had the chance to meet both men behind Bremont Watches and see the entire collection. And now i could fully relate to my friend’s immense enthusiasm! The finish, the details… impressive, yet all so subtle. Very British in fact… Ad - Scroll to continue with article Nick and Giles English started the Bremon
Interesting deal for Omega Speedmaster collectors - the Moonfire book - Monochrome Watches
Moonfire is not a book about watches. However since it’s about the historic Apollo 11 Moon landing, i think most Omega Speedmaster collectors will find it an interesting book. Especially now the price dropped drastically. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 Moon landing, Taschen Publishers and Norman Mailer joined forces to create a unique tribute to the defining scientific mission of our time. In 1969 Norman Mailer wrote about the Apollo mission for Life magazine. Moonfire is loaded with beautiful photos from the archives of NASA, Life magazine and many other resources. So why am i writing about this book? I think it’s an interesting book for fans of the Omega Speedmaster. However when the book was published, last year, it was limited to 1969 copies and the price was simply outrageous. The first 1957 numbered copies came in a white resin box with a convex plexiglas window accompanied by a framed photo that was signed by Buzz Aldrin, one of the astr
FOUND: Dutch Coach Louis Van Gaal's Watch - a Rare Christiaan van der Klaauw Pendulum and We Found One - Monochrome Watches
In case you were wondering what kind of watch Dutch football coach Louis van Gaal was wearing during the FIFA World Cup in Brasil, it’s a Dutch watch, made by none other than Dutch watchmaker Christiaan van der Klaauw. And if that isn’t cool and exclusive enough, Louis Van Gaal’s watch is a limited edition of 25 pieces and we found one for sale.?Maybe you do the same. When someone in a movie or on TV is wearing his watch quite visible, we want to know what it is. Trying to find out which watch Van Gaal was wearing, was a tough one. Luckily he was wearing just one watch during the entire championship, so we got quite a few good glimpses of his wrist. It was clearly a square watch, and our first guess was that it could be a TAG Heuer Monaco. But some details were simply not aligning with that. It was a tough one… Ad - Scroll to continue with article
Seiko 1970 Divers Re-Creation SLA033 (Specs & Price)
The new Seiko SLA033 has been one of the most anticipated and talked about watches of Baselworld 2019, up there with the Tudor Black Bay P01. It is undeniable that Seiko has more memorable divers per square metre – and price segment – than any other company (just head to the Seiko microsite on MONOCHROME to confirm my assertion). And not as a result of a well-planned marketing campaign but thanks to word to mouth, which is how fame is truly consolidated. At Baselworld 2019, Seiko took the decision to create yet another famous dive watches (after the SLA017 and the SLA025), with the 1970 Diver's Re-Creation SLA033.Among these iconic watches is the Captain Willard, the Seiko 6105, which occupies the highest echelon of Seiko divers, and of dive watches in general. Produced from 1968 onwards, with a water-resistance of 150 metres, what caught everybody’s eye was the crown positioned at 4 o’clock (which was, in fact, used for the first time in the 1961 Seiko Silver W
