The A. Lange & Sohne Grand Complication marks the Beginning of a New Era for the Brand - Monochrome Watches
A Grand Complication is, exactly as the name indicates, a GRAND complication. Not many brands can say that they have a Grand Complication in the collection and when counting there are really just a few of the oldest and most admirable watch brands that do. Of course there are the three ‘Grande Dames’ of the Haute Horlogerie, Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet. Also brands like Blancpain, Breguet, IWC and Jaeger-LeCoultre are among the few who have at least one Grand Complication in the collection. Since this year, A. Lange & Sohne introduced their first Grand Complication that is also the most complicated German watch ever created. Ulysse Nardin Classic Perpetual Ludwig (Specs & Price)
Today we are taking a closer look at one of the most refined and streamlined Perpetual Calendars on the market, the Ulysse Nardin Classic Perpetual Ludwig. Named after the man largely responsible for the original watch some 20 years ago, Dr. Ludwig Oechslin, this modern-day tribute is nothing short of exceptional. Easy to set and even easier to read, this complicated watch helped pioneer a new way of thinking about Perpetual Calendars. Read on to learn what makes it so special. To say that Dr. Ludwig Oechslin is a gifted creator of complications is a gross understatement of the man's incredible talents. Associated with Ulysse Nardin for many years, his was the creative genius that developed the Freak, the Trilogy of Time collection (a trio of watches named Astrolabium Galileo Galilei, Planetarium Copernicus and Tellurium Johannes Kepler), and of course the Perpetual Calendar he created for the brand in 1996 to celebrate its 150th anniversary. He was also heavily involved in creation of
Ace Juwelers online - Monochrome Watches
Some of you guys might already know Ace Jewelers in Amsterdam. It’s an Authorised Dealer of brands like IWC, Longines, TAG Heuer, Breitling, Omega, Oris and many more. Ace Jewelers has three shops in the centre of Amsterdam and always offers a warm welcome and time to share the passion for fine watches. Today Ace Juwelers opened a new shop… on the internet! Yes, Ace Juwelers starts doing business on the world wide web. From my point of view this is a logical choice and i think many customers welcome this addition to the retail channel of an AD. Not only for buying a new watch, if you already know what you want, but also for buying a new OEM strap for your watch!I don’t know any other authorised dealer with a webshop as well, but i think many will follow the example Ace Juwelers sets today. There are of course many place on the internet where you can buy wristwatches of every possible brand. But these places are the so called grey market dealers or dealers in used watch
David Candaux 1740 "The First 8" - The heart and soul of the Vallee de Joux - Monochrome Watches
Welcome in the heart and soul of independent watchmaking from the Vallee de Joux, yet with a modern eye A few weeks ago, we met with one of the most interesting surprises from Baselworld 2017, the 1740 The first 8 - and of course with its creator, David Candaux. See what hand-made and creative watchmaking mean! The name David Candaux could potentially sound familiar to some of you, as he has been the behind-the-scene architect of some spectacular developments, for several prominent brands. He worked several years for Jaeger-LeCoultre and then, he started a new career as an independent movement designer. In this role he was involved in several watch developments, however always anonymous and behind the scenes. When he was a child, David was thinking that he would become an accomplished watchmaker only once he would design and make his own timepieces, by his hands. This time has come and, to say the least, David is a very talented watchmaker.? Ad - Scroll to continue with artic

Chemin des Tourelles… A name that might not be the easiest to pronounce for anyone outside of Switzerland or France, but still a very meaningful one for Tissot. One of the most long-lasting collections of the brand, it’s also one that pays tribute to its history, with a classic design and a name that refers to the street where?the Tissot factory was established in 1907. While keeping the timeless spirit of this range alive, Tissot is updating the Chemin des Tourelles Collection this year with reworked cases, 3 different sizes, new dial designs and a modern automatic movement inside all references.?The previous generation of Tissot Chemin des Tourelles, here in 42mm with a Powermatic 80 movement (no Nivachron)The concept behind the new Tissot Chemin des Tourelles is to bring more refinement in the design, more choices in the dials and colours, more versatility in the range of straps and bracelets and more modernity in the mechanics.
